hey, I've been riding on this route to get to the University for a few weeks already. I knew it was something special, it is very comfortable.

What i don't understand what you do if you come from the left or right at 06:05 You go to push the same button anyways? Or you just watch for traffic and go? 🤔

This does not look like a city with over 200k people in it at all. Super cozy, quiet, lots of greenery practically everywhere. I bet the climate in those cities during spring and summer is amazing there. My city literally feels like an unbearable boiling pot as soon as it goes over the 21 degrees mark, and summer temperatures are always killing me.

Well, actually Tilburg is the warmest inner city of Western-Europe. That’s why the municipality wants to invest in extra greenery.

They must have put a lot of money into cycleways especially in our capital city Edinburgh Scotland but car's park in them all the time and I don't know why they even bothered if they're not going to stop cars parking in them.also free Scotland we want to stay with our EU neighbours.
@Dark__Thoughts4 жыл бұрын
I think they spend like ~100€ per person on bike infrastructure (even with what they already have). Here in Germany it is more like 4€, and we don't really have any bike infrastructure here. Just lots of talking about it and maybe some very bad attempts, but of course without taking away space for the cars - destined to fail.
@maxnewts4 жыл бұрын
my trucker I understand your wants to stay with the EU! It’s probably necessary if it gets you anywhere to try and talk to your local council and police about the parking and ask them if they’re are other parts of your city that would work with the parking so they park elsewhere in an area safe enough and smart enough in a way where it doesn’t affect cycling.
@Lunavii_Cellest3 жыл бұрын
It costs alot of money but in the end you spend less overall becouse more people that cycle means less people driving, and with lower amounts of cars you don't need a high amount of infrastructure for cars to keep it safe and effecient. And then there are also health benefits so overall it is an amazing investment

Interesting video but I was quite distracted by the amount of litter - are the Dutch catching the English-Disease? Also, when I lived there [1970-80s] everybody swept their own bit of sidewalk. Doesn't seem to happen now.

@@bymicromize The problem is that the world is decades behind even your worst examples. :( Littering aside I think it looks pretty cozy and nice there.

i know there was litter on the street in 90's. we stopped sweeping when you left. There is probably less litter now compared to the 90's

Fabulous. Please produce a video showing influence of scooters, petrol, and the little motorised e-scooters. The latter are a menace on the walkways of places like San Francisco, because they have hardly any infrastructure between walkways and roads...
@inepthabit6 жыл бұрын
The little motorised e-scooters haven't really taken off yet in the Netherlands. Our cycling culture might prevent that from happening at all. I know Bird has opened an office in Amsterdam recently, so they want to start, but in Amsterdam you can't just operate a business like that, they need a permit first before they can roll it out in public space. And those e-scooters are currently not street legal in the Netherlands, that would need to change. Considering that Amsterdam is working to get the bigger scooters and mopeds off of the cycle paths, I'm not sure they'd want the little escooters on the cycle paths either.

Their actualy mopeds they only go about 40 km/h no clue what it is in miles, anyway not nearly as fast as a motorcycle

01:17 ...there's the cough. Since 2014, a lot of women are coughing in high foot traffic areas. Nobody liked Typhoid Mary, nobody.
