I don't think I could ride that bike to it's full potential as standard. I've been riding for more years than I can remember but I'm past the sports bikes stage so I got myself a ducati streetfighter 848 2014 that's enough for me so tuning up your v2 is crazy. IMO I think ducati knows best including the power you have and how to stay within the restrictions. Great video as usual 👌

My desire to tune it was less about power, and more about smoothing things out, getting rid of flat spots and dips in the torque curve that are there because of strict emissions requirements, that's all. You are right, a couple more HP won't make a difference...

I think you’re right, if we as customers could demand bikes that run properly stock (and not lean / like a bag of nuts)… Soundwise the V2 is spot on, there’s no need for moreZ Our new hyper mono runs really shitty when cold, stalling is a given..

Yeah, the more I thought about it, the more I was like... I tend to keep a bike a year or two MAX... Why dump money into exhaust and tuning, just to get it all set up for the next owner? lol If its a ZX6R and I can toss on a $400 Leo Vince slipon and a $300 ECU flash, ok... But to do that on this bike is more like 2 grand and that's just pissing money away... I think that unless I find a bike that I like enough to keep 2-5 years, it doesn't make sense to dump a ton of money into mods, only to turn around and sell it at a loss.

Get another ecu to swap or just get a side plug-and-play tune you can just take off. Theres no need to tune the main ecu. Get another or bypass.

Not worth the time, effort or $$, just to get a couple HP... You can use power commanders to adjust fueling, but if there are ride by wire restrictions or you want to play with ignition timing, that limits you. Also, you need to disable the O2 sensors to use the piggy-back system properly... I just decided to leave it stock for now... the amount of money or effort isn't worth how little power I will gain...

@SquireSCA or ppl can just buy a fast bike if thats what they want. I see ppl with mt07 asking how to add power. Why didn't you just get the mt10? 🤦♂️
@SquireSCA2 ай бұрын
@@CartoonWeasel Yeah, I had the MT10, great bike, just wanted to be back on a Duc... But I forgot the Italian task with regards to exhaust and mods... lol

What about the hundreds of power stations it would take to go all electric. They chuck out more sh.. than you will on that bike. Don't know about the v8 car engines that you have so many of in the US

I see your name, Martin Bishop, and every time I think of Robert Redford's character in the movie Sneakers. haha I think we product enough power, its more about balancing the load with peak usage and stuff like that. We produce power, but we don't have great ways to store it until its needed...
