Except, as I recall in 1 of his other videos on this trail, he said this is a vehicle review show, not a scenic touring channel. 🤣 Perhaps someone read the comment(s) made about how pretty some of it was, and thought.. hmm maybe people would like to see more scenery. 🤔

I did all of Radical Hill in my 2007 Dodge Ram Powerwagon Quad Cab back in like 2010. It was a group event where some people from other country's come to Colorado, and they want to try different things, one of them happened to be offroading. I got the pleasure of an Australian couple and they were a joy to have riding along with me. Those switchbacks are no joke, especially in my wide and long 3/4 ton truck. There was only one spot that was so skinny that I had a rock face on my left, and nothing but cliff's edge on the right. I had to rub my left tire along that rockface just to keep my right tire from sliding off down the mountain. That might have been my scariest offroading experience ever, but I'll never forget it and enjoyed it.

I absolutely love this video not because it shows beautiful roads here in CO but also shows how easy or hard by showing different vehicles during this video. Please continue to make videos like this or even a separate channel for touring taking stock vehicle on CO trails / forest roads. Back in the day I absolutely love how you took stock vehicles on Switzerland trail. I myself took my my friend with BMW X1 up to a point before vehicle damage.

Just did this today in a range Rover Velar.... No adjustable suspension... Made it up and down no problem. Had to take our time picking out lines on 19-in street tires. Went through the water just fine. Went late-morning on a Thursday, hardly anybody on the trail.

I spent a good portion of my life wheeling on potentially dangerous/challenging trails and I have to agree with your current mindset of choosing easier trails. Trails where you can safely wheel alone. The last time I was in the area, I did red cone in a blizzard. Good times.

Great series, excited to see all the trails. This is really helpful for people deciding which trails to plan for in Colorado, being able to see all the terrain they would encounter and the width of the trail is better than just a challenge rating. If those trails keep seeing such high levels of traffic, it may be time to widen them to make it easier for two-way traffic to pass without finding a spot to pull off the trail (and so two wide vehicles don’t get stuck unable to pass each other).

Great video! Just what I needed. I always wanted to and never had any friends that did this kind of stuff. I've always wanted to get into off roading/trail riding so I just got my first truck/off road vehicle - a Colorado ZR2 (I had to have that cruise control standard - better to be over capable than under capable). I am a complete noob and need all the help I can get.

When riding off-road in a group, it's important to make sure everyone understands basic hand signals. Here are some examples of hand signals that can be used: Position The last rider in a group can signal their position by holding a fist in the air. For example, if there are six riders in a group, the leader would hold up five fingers, the rider behind them would also hold up five, and so on.

I’d say the reason not to do Radical Hill would be if you can’t clear the obstacles towards the bottom. The shelf road part isn’t that bad if you just take it slow and don’t get too close to the high side as that could bump you in the other direction and over the ledge.

Looks like a nice trail ride that doesn’t look like it would damage my truck or scratch it. I like nice quiet trails wide enough to still have some fun with out causing any damage don’t mind mud and dust just don’t want dents and scratches

Ranger Raptor would be my choice for top-tier midsize. At that price, a sunroof, ventilated front seats, and rear seat upper air vents would make that truck just about perfect.
