So cool seeing that Model T up on the trail, so many of these are in museums or car shows only, it's good to see them being driven.

Don’t forget “Your T is not tuned right.” I’d drive up from Pueblo to see you all run em’. Tommy and the engineer talking old school combustion engines would make a great video.

Excellent video. Not long and boring. Very interesting piece with the young guy and his model T. Love Colorado. Don't worry, I'm not planning to move there. Thank you.
@kx89602 ай бұрын
Well, if you think about it, Model T's were meant to go where there wasn't any pavement (very little actually existed at the time), old muddy dirt roads and horse paths etc. So, they had very large diameter wheels and TONS of ground clearance, but no 4WD. Still, they pretty much went everywhere you needed to go. So, sort of surprising to see it there, but not totally. More surprising to actually SEE one being driven at all. Props to the kid for that!

As a noob offroader (though I "softroaded" my 2010 V6 AWD RAV4 for years taking it places I probably shouldn't have) with my first "real" offroad toy (loaded blue '24 Colorado ZR2), I DON'T plan on doing much of the really hard stuff where you need constant spotting. I'm 60, and always go out alone (with my trusty InReach), so to me, these are perfect videos because I'm specifically looking for the easy to moderate but scenic stuff. I want the EXTRA capability (low range, front locker, clearance, skidplates etc.) not to actually use all the time, but in case of emergency or trouble, so I KNOW I'll make it home. I have a tendency to just see a road, not knowing what the terrain is like, and just try and follow it. There were plenty of times in the RAV4 where I had to say "Nope" and turn around, and have even done it in the ZR2 a couple times because I didn't feel that I as a driver could make it, though I know the ZR2 could. Also, with the super technical stuff, it's so slow you don't cover any real distance in a day. I'm more the "overlanding" type even though I don't camp. I want to travel as much distance as I can, and see as much as I can before getting dinner and having a soak in the hot tub at my hotel. I too offroad with all the windows up and the AC and ventilated seats on, I TOTALLY don't want to be covered in all that fine red Moab dust! If it's recently rained and there's no dust, I might open the windows and the moonroof. So far, I'm loving my ZR2 and look forward to maybe doing this trail the next time I'm back home in CO. For reference, I really enjoyed Switzerland Trail last time I was back a couple months ago. So, great work, hope to meet the rest of you some time (I've met Andre a couple times) and maybe even go out with you guys one day. Keep them coming fellas!

Love the trail reviews but maybe keep these under an hour. :). I just missed you that day-was on Bill Moore a few miles away. There’s another trail idea for next time. I’ve given up on the dust in the car. Wipe it once in a while and realize it will just get dusty next week!

Infested dirt roads. lol IF you like being in crowds, more power too ya. But if you want to be out in nature, forget it. To popular of an area for me. Congestion and nearly scraping paint to share a dirt road is not my idea of fun times. And you constantly talk about the right of way, but hell, what I seen is a free for all. Where I live, it is who ever has the best spot to pull off the side. And if neither do, 1 of you know how far back you have to go and you make a collaborative choice on which has it easiest.
