Hello warro ,excellent video ,very informative. Did you get your welcome package from royal enfield when you received your bike ? Cos if you didn't ask your dealer or better still send an email to royal enfield and ask them . Anyway mate take care on the road.

After the first service some noise like tapping noise came from my engine. But they can't fixed it. Why?....
@ridewithwarro5 жыл бұрын
maybe they adjusted the tappets correctly at the service because they were tight when you bought the bike in. mine was quiet and now its more of a tapping when cold but this is far better than long term -burnt out valves

Warro i like your video but on the sum plug , the first plug you removed why didn't you wipe off the magnetic area of the plug that collects metallic debris from the inside of the oil pan or replaced the aluminum washer on the plug, are these important to every oil change or when needed? I ask you this because many other videos emphasize this as a must. Peace.
@ridewithwarro3 жыл бұрын
must have missed that cleaning of the sump plug magnet on the edit but if you look in my history section on classic 500's -i show a magnet clean on all oil/filter change clips. as to the aluminium washer unless i get a new one with the filter i never bother buying or changing it at all.use the same one on classic 500's i've used the same sump plug washer for 10 to 15 oil changes with no problems with a leakage. so to sum up -if the washer is in the box i use it -if it isnt and there were no issures with the original -i just use that same washer. but i always clean the magnetic plugs plus attach a rare earth maget to the plug base. i actually do the same on my cars too
@juans37283 жыл бұрын
@@ridewithwarro I'm sure you do require the cleaning on the magnet and missed it while editing, nice video either way.

Do they need valve adjustment after 500km?
@ridewithwarro4 ай бұрын
back in 2019 when they first came out the answer was yes but in 2024 not sure now if thats been changed to a higher klm for valve check. i heard it had been raised to 1000 klm but that may or may not be the case

Why didn't you buy penrite? Australia n made with synthetic ester
@ridewithwarro3 жыл бұрын
well i took notice of another big youtuber's advice and my final thoughts on the sikolene ...was highly overpriced and not worth buying. think it cost me roughly AUD$140 for the oi including the delivery. in the 500's i always used penrite and should have stayed with that idea...lol
@Antimortem3 жыл бұрын
@@ridewithwarro yeah, I read/ noticed so many who does that ,even though they have a good oil with superb quality available where you live. It's not practical to chase an oil brand just because another biker uses it. In my place that SILKOLENE oil cost a lot and doesn't do magic things! I had a full synthetic oil with ester cost a third less than that and delivered the performance! Glad you're enjoying those oil changes and making right choices on oils👍
@ridewithwarro3 жыл бұрын
@@Antimortem yeah i wascaught with that oil trick once but i will never buy it again. highly priced and no results. i think i ran it in the bike for just 500 klm only and dropped it. theres another lip in my files- i dumped the silkolene....lol

Can we pour 3liters instead of 3.1 liter
@ridewithwarro2 жыл бұрын
i think i took roughly 2.9 litres out of it including the oil filter change
@crispernator5 жыл бұрын
Gday mate my old man taught me about pre wetting the filter i normally pour somein and rotate the filter so all the element is wet so you dont have oil hitting a dry paper element also i always take the filler cap right out to save any air lock but thats just me saving money on servicing but 140.00 for oil ,yea the poms use it but im sure penrite would make something just as good ,bloody filters are expensive hopefully ryco will bring one out cheaper in fact they probably do already its crap having to waste money because it has a name on it .
@ridewithwarro5 жыл бұрын
I will go penrite on he next change as I have not really noticed any great deal of difference with the oil. here ya go on the first interceptor. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJ6Zf3ateK6gotk

What about cleaning the sump oil strainer its in the Service Manual?
@ridewithwarro4 жыл бұрын
To date i have not actually seen any-one try that oil strainer clean up yet. i'd also think it would be a pointless exercise at 500 klm considering how clean the oil came out. So my guess is it must be a lot harder to do than when i did the tappets. Even at the 6000 klm change didn't touch it and still don't know of any tuber who has. Should you find one link it-I might just try it
@conradstone79274 жыл бұрын
@@ridewithwarro Its a mystery why it is in the service manual, yet not in the Owners Hand book, possibly RE just thought not nessesary or too difficult.
@ridewithwarro4 жыл бұрын
@@conradstone7927 I didn't even know it was there till a couple of other youtuber's mentioned it....lol plus one mentioned there is a bit of work going in to check it from the bottom. I wouldn't try it yet till I see some-one else actually do it. I think mine is pretty safe as I am on my 4th oil/filter change at 6000 klm so it should be clean I think oil/filter changes are cheap -well compared to paying a bike shop

How many liters of oil does it have ?
@ridewithwarro4 жыл бұрын
roughly 3 litre but best idea just measure what comes out from the first service and put that same amount back in. bike should not use any oil in first 500 klm or very little. then check the level through sight glass on level ground and work on safe margin between med/high level on sight glass

no I just used the same washer. on c5's ive used them 5 or 6 times. in all honesty ive never replaced them...lol I did the valve adjustment myself -first time ever-clip here in my stuff and what I used. bike is running very well at close on 2500 km after I did the adjustments. most were tight by the 500 klm mark and the bike had slightly lost a bit of pep
