Your going to absolutely love yhis truck! My only complaints are like he said, getting in to the truck which power steps will help but should come standard and the seats. The seats are really flat and stiff! I had much nicer seats in my 14' LTZ. My only hope is that they will break in. Mine has 2900 miles on it and the seats are really my only complaint
@ronaldpenczek95033 жыл бұрын
@@jeremiahholt2425 I've had mine now about a month. 2100 miles. I traded a 16 Denali 2500 for it and agree the seats are firm. But, I'm a big guy (300 ish) and appreciate the firm seats. Two things I've noticed is there is certainly more torque than my 16 but the fuel mileage is worse. I use to get 17 mpg in mixed driving and 20/21 on the highway. Now that is down to 15 mixed and about 18 (at best) on the highway.

I bought a 2021 2500 AT4 three months ago with the DuraMax. It’s totally awesome. I use it for a work truck, and really for most everything. Took a 2500 mile road trip and averaged 20.5 at about 70 MPH...a lot of flat road. Mountains, it fell to 18.8 MPG. For me, a great fit for my work/life style. A tad expensive however....your review is spot on.

You covered this review so well. Darn nice truck. I can’t wait to see the 2022 interior redo. GM likes to put grey headliners on all their vehicles… this truck should have a black headliner. It looks richer in my opinion I build homes and occasionally remodel. I sold my pickup and purchase an AWD 1-ton Ford Transit with the high cab and extended length. It has been transformative for my work. I’ll never go back to a pickup for this kind of work. In this one ton van, I can carry all my tools and standard supplies plus it’s configured so I can still load pallets in the back by moving some of the tools cases forward temporarily….. I use the Milwaukee pack out wall mounts. But wow…. GMC should pay you to sell……… I’m serious thinking about looking at the 2022’s as soon as the new interiors are available. That color and the height and size of the truck is nearly perfect. I actually prefer it over the Raptor because it gives me a lot more payload and towing capacity.

I own a 2020 with the 6.6 gas motor and the long bed. I did NOT pay what the dealer asked for it...and I had to order the truck. I couldn't find a long bed anywhere in Texas. I tow a 2000 lb. trailer ever so often and very frequently have a ton of some kind of construction materials in the bed....because I can. It gets me up and down the hills on my hunting lease and the family to Church on Sunday. I've driven it in last February's snow and in mud. Is it a great off-road truck? Obviously, there are better trucks for that It does not have a 2" lift...none of the 2500s are lifted standard tho you can have the dealer do most anything to the truck. As for a review, I submit the best recommendation I could give is if someone asked me would I buy it again, I would definitely say yes.

@@cordellroberson532 Good info. Thanks. So even less difference. There are just so many reviewers that falsely assume the HD AT4 has a lift just because the fullsize AT4 has one and because HD trucks are just so massive. Then they say it in reviews and can't/don't go back and correct it so it perpetuates the false assertion that the HD AT4 has one as long as that video is up. I've even been in a discussion, in youtube comment section of another video, with an owner that insists his HD AT4 has a lift from the factory. Ha. I urged him to go to a dealership and compare his rear suspension and torsion bar setup, and stance of the truck, with a non-AT4 HD. If owners incorrectly argue that their HD AT4 has a lift, there is likely no hope that a reviewer will get it right. Ha.

I wish GM would take more cues from the gmt400 body style. Those models do not require a step ladder to work in the engine compartment and they are great for old 2 track tight logging roads. These trucks are becoming too geared towards grocery getting! Give me a REAL truck in the 1500 line again! 8 foot bed standard damn it!!!. Solid metal bumpers STANDARD!!!!! I don't give a shit about LCD screens, I have one in my pocket!!!! Chrome wheels are standard but not 8 foot beds??? On a truck??? Hell I might as well buy a cyberspace truck from Space Karen!!! The drive train is great now fix the mess you made of the body and its functionality!

A great test of a pickup when not doing pickupy/pickupish things. ... put on your towball and drop that "great" $7000 tailgate and see what happens, then review.

We agree, Wo Xie. We don't have accessible equipment to truly test an HD truck like this, but GMC sent it to us anyway so we showed what most people will experience 85% of the time during their ownership of this truck. Thanks for watching.

@@AutoAcademics the pickup passes the "work as a car" category with flying colors then. Keep up the good work 👍

@@woxie4990 That's the amazing part, Wo Xie. When HD is in the name, we expect it to tow or haul, but when they drive as well as this Sierra 2500 does during day to day use, it's rather impressive.

@@AutoAcademics indeed. The niche for luxury is being filled cleverly by dodging expensive taxes. I too find the upright seating and dominating up high stances to be more appealing than the (lower) sedan counterparts.

You're correct, Delbert Layman. I do like this truck, but sadly it's not mine. Just a vehicle that GMC sent us for review. Thanks for watching!
