Ridiculous 3 Person Sleeper, But It Works! Honda Element Micro RV. 24

TINY CAMPERS

After a few prototypes (failures), I think I have come up with a great 3 person sleeper setup. I used a "Disc O Bed" cot as the 3rd person sleeper. Also used the 3rd seat as a means to mount one corner of the bed. Much more room than my previous bunk.

when I was a kid my parents had a van that carried our family of 5 and all of us were able to sleep inside. I slept in a hammock that was strung crossways across the drivers and passenger seats. Personally, I thought I had the best spot up there. The seats in back folded out to a mattress for my parents. My older sibling slept on the floor under their heads crossways as well, and the youngest slept in her playpen between the front seats and back area. There was a cooler, little pump sink, and we had the standard coleman stove for camping at a picnic table. We could all eat inside too, or play cards on the table that swung up from the side of the van. It was an awesome van, 60's -70's era.

Nobody would ever think 3 people could sleep in a car lying flat out, but if you need to you can. I think this could provide an amazing solution to many homeless people or people who need or want to save on money while being in transit. I mean you can pay for a night at a hotel or motel but how often is that truly a worthy experience? Even if you have enough money, it's always good to live resourceful!

Rebecca, you have sharp eyes, that floor bed is indeed at an angle. This is by design since my idea is to keep your torso in the most open area. That angle allows you not only have a little more length room, but will get your torso (or legs) further away from the cabinet. It does bother my eyes a bit too, but while sleeping, you will appreciate the extra space.

I agree Velia, the camera work almost made me puke. Regardless of the content, if you intend to have people watch it; the camera work is important. Learn to use a camera or have a friend that has experience help. I think the only people that will stick with it are people that have an Element and are desperate to pack three people into it for camping.
