Riding a Fairbanks Morse On Freight in '98!

Күн бұрынThe Lexington & Ohio RR leased Bluegrass RR Museum's ex-US Army Fairbanks Morse H12-44 for a short time in 1997 and 1998 while their regular power was rebuilt. Here we go aboard for a ride between Lexington and Versailles on January 16, 1998. Gordon Brandenburg is the engineer, Robert James is the mechanic, and I don't recall the name of the man and his daughter at the beginning. I'm seen running at the very end. This was back in the Wild West days of railroading, so it would never be repeated today.

That time period around Lexington had a ton of great places to railfan. I got to run this gal and the MRS-1 a hand ful of times. Do you have any videos of the MRS-1 when they used it on freight?
