I'm still learning so while downshifting to a stop, should I downshift & slowly let off the cluth to engine brake?? If so, what gear should I do this in & should I be completely off the throttle?

@JustinAlvaradoHD if you can pull the clutch, downshift, blip the throttle, then release the clutch it's the smoothest! I've only been riding a year and love to rev match. But the easiest way it to slowly let of the clutch while downshifting if ur not gonna rev match yes. I go down all the way into first then when I get to a crawl ill pull and hold my clutch.

When starting out, I feel that rev-matching isn't very necessary or even helpful. Some argue it's bad for the bike (I don't think it is). A lot of people love the feel of it and like the sound of engine breaking but honestly, at this point, I'd just focus on have a smooth ride. Get used to riding with cagers around. You look good and if you're having fun... that's the point.
