These films Joe are compulsive viewing. I do wonder how many of us watching these films wish we could just do what you are doing , commitments, relationships, work hey ho life just gets in the way of what we really wish we could do sometimes! Loved seeing the huge trees and the old tractors which seem to have been exported to virtually every corner of the globe, most of the makes of tractor I've seen at agricultural shows here in the UK, some people are nuts on tractors, lol. Cheers.

Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the episode. Yes the large giant trees are just a wonder of nature, really intriguing, the same with the tractors in a way, how things work and are put together. yes I make sure I make time to do the things I want to do, like explore on a motorbike. It does mean sacrifices and compromises in other areas, everybody has different priorities, I guess the great thing is we can choose what to prioritise in our life.

The guys at Royal Enfield told me as long as I keep the oil at the right level and change it every 5000km then the engine should go on for a very long time so it good to know how to do it if you are traveling long distances.

Another great video Joe, Thanks. I spent some time down that way during COVID riding and camping with a friend. It was one of the nicest areas around Walpole and Denmark and camping at Fernhook Falls, there were some beautiful tall trees around there. I have a couple of videos on my channel the MundAl Track, from that area but nothing like your quality. 🤣 Just as well you walked inside that tree, you wouldn't have ever known it was that big. Ride safe. Cheers Darrel

@@freewayproject I did! I don’t often comment because my keyboard doesn’t work anymore and typing one fingered on the screen keyboard takes forever. I’m telling you that because like a lot of people, I watch without comment, but your vids are so good I’m binge watching your trips now. Great scenery for riding and your photos look stunning btw. I love how much of a thrill you get from being out in nature and being able to ride a fantastic thumper like that is doubly good. I love your positive attitude too. And that time all those MX guys had been defeated by the steep, wet trail and they were talking about how they saw you in the distance, slowly chugging along - that makes me laugh. I had to show that to my wife and that has now convinced her that I should get one for myself ( she’s content to ride pillion, but I’m encouraging her to get a Himalayan herself) Anyway, rest assured, loads of people like me are loving your videos but aren’t telling you about it! Can’t wait for more. Happy riding!

Up here in the northern US we have to be a little (just a little) careful about bears and mountain lions while in the back country. Aside from the occasional, rare rattlesnake though there isn't too much in the way of small critters which might pose a danger to you while you're far from town. Australia on the other hand has all kinds of small animals which could do you in, not to mention crocodiles. This is something I've been curious about while watching this series-- Is this factor kinda overblown and something you don't really need to worry about at all? Or are there precautions you take when it comes to the wildlife?
@freewayproject
@freewayproject 2 ай бұрын
I have travelled a lot through the Pacific North West, so I know what you mean. I think it is the case like you get taught to look left then right when crossing the street as a kid, you need it to become your default as when you come across things which you will it's automatic. As a kid you know if you run away from a crocodile (it it hasn't gotten you already) you go in a zig zag pattern as they can't turn fast, but it is very very very rare. It more like preventive stuff like knowing to be careful when say picking up wood for a fire (snakes spiders scorpions etc... love hiding under them). When you get to a place to camp keep your boots and long pants on, for a while snakes feel the vibrations and will normally move off, well except the Brown snake which has a bad attitude and it just wants to pick a fight. You normally see snakes when moving through an area like hiking, rather than them coming into a camp site. So as long as you always have you tent zipper up and I mean even if you are getting out of the tent for 30 seconds and getting back in you zip it up in-between you'll be fine. Salt water Crocodiles are a whole other issue, there more like a cougar, they'll stalk you, they'll hide in plan sight and they want to eat you. Oh and we have I think it is the third biggest bird in the world call a Cassowaries they again they like to attack rather than take off. So yes probably blown out of proportion and rare in the cities, but yes people do get attached bitten and stung regularly.
