Way to go Linnea! I have been loving the tips. This has been super helpful. Being in Boulder City right now, I've had to learn how to actively pump in the rare smooth sections to deal with the jagged rocks. Great video!

This is really helpful! Even after 20+ years as recreational rider, I’m learning so much! I can’t wait to get back on the bike and apply this.

Really intrigued to see how Linnea's races go when those happen again after all the training and seeing all the different places where I see a slow down (because not alot of skills), and the coaches give light to ways to gain speed (active pumping!)

Great reminder ... I think I more naturally tend to stay 'loose' and need to be more conscious of spotting active pumping opportunities on the trail and get more aggressive with it

Likewise! These videos make me analyze my riding.

You nailed it - half of the battle is just seeing these opportunities on the trail! And then being able to actually execute on it. Takes practice but really pays off!

Really useful - I’m new to mountain biking and so only a starting to understand the need to use the trail like this. So many rides I feel like I’m just heavy through everything and going along for the ride.. I will practice this to hopefully make those rough sections much smoother by being passive. Thanks a lot

I've just found this series - they're awesome! Great coaching and progression with techniques, Linnea and Jason work really well together on screen. Beautifully filmed - those trails and forest look amazing. Totally subscribed! Got to go practice now.....

She made a "merp" noise when she hit the brakes. Cracked me up. Damn adorable.

Another great, informative video, thank you. I believe that active and passive pumping are indispensable mtb skills that can really transform any ride. Just not so sure about Linnea’s ‘it’s because I ride so hard’ comment....Btw, Linnea- how’s your manualing progressing? Gaetano
@Fluidride3 жыл бұрын
oh yeah the riding hard comment is a joke, but manuals are coming along well! A few days ago: instagram.com/p/CKF9p68hL1Y/ Filming a follow-up this week 👍

Was a good save, wise not to go for a second clean run if you're not feeling it. I'm 48 and sometimes when I get to the trails, my head doesn't feel 'awake' enough or my vision can't keep up at speed. But other days it's all good.
