Comments, comments.... hmmm, let me see... Basically every time you're off on adventures on the British Isles, I'm just engrossed at all the scenery and medieval architecture. Full of history, full of intrigue... that was a close call in Frome, you almost got your cute behinds snatched up by the Real Housewives of Frome! Fancy running into Lloydie at his pull-up spot... I'd say you brought the sunshine in the midst of a literal storm! Cheers to the team!

What great chemistry between Si and Alex, two strong riders with great sense of humour. What a treat, as a Dorsetman now living in Vancouver, Canada, to see my old riding area. I know the route from Wilton down to Hengistbury Head very well. And Is that was not Bournemouth you were cycling through that was Tuckton, 10 miles away. FYI, I lived 1 mile from there and would run around Christchurch harbour and around by the beach huts where you finished at Hengistbury. Thanks for reliving those happy memories for me.
@benedictearlson9044
@benedictearlson9044 Жыл бұрын
Hi Julian, it must have been a while ago you lived there as Tuckton has always been part of Bournemouth since I've known it and it's only 4 miles from the pier according to the popular online mapping service. I visited Vancouver once, lovely clean city with an amazing river market.
@julianallen515
@julianallen515 Жыл бұрын
@@benedictearlson9044 Hi Benedict, thank you for correcting me. I lived in Southbourne for 6 years and geographically feel that Tuckton is part of Christchurch more than it is Bournemouth certainly it is 4 times closer, accordingly to the popular online mapping service. As towns spread out and absorb the suburbs they will eventually meet. I'm sure in a decade of so someone will correct you and tell you that Tuckton is part of Southampton. Just out of interest what is the amazing river market you are thinking of? I don't know of one in Vancouver.
@benedictearlson9044
@benedictearlson9044 Жыл бұрын
 @julianallen515 Ha ha yes towns are growing at an alarming rate everywhere round here. Your 'closeness index' has some validity although remember there are parts of Kent that are closer to France than London yet they firmly remain in England! I used to cycle to work between Lymington and Boscombe and crossing the bridge at Tuckton in the evening absolutely meant I was back in the big city. The market I remember my cousins taking me round was next to water, lots of Chinese stall holders, it was a long time ago but certainty was Vancouver. Have a look it must still be there surely?!
