Riding my New Bicycle to Miami Beach : Addmotor E-43 CityPro

I got a new e-bike and I took it out for a ride to Miami Beach and back to Downtown Miami. The Addmotor E-43 CityPro has a 500w Motor with a 125 mile range and assists up to 20 mph. I really enjoyed how well this bicycle handled, and was really impressed with the build quality.

Your video is very enjoyable. Suggestion: Don’t pass cars on the passenger side of the vehicles while they are waiting for the light to change. You could get hurt seriously if someone decided to open their door to get out. They will not look for you coming on the inside of their car. Just thinking about your safety. . John

I’d also say stop at red lights and stop signs before you get hurt. From a person who has seen too many accidents and fatalities in my professional career.

Wow AK! A bike on the highway, that's something. Here in Chicago, that's a no-no. Up here they take vehicular violations seriously. Years ago I drove my bicycle Downtown and within seconds I had a cop get behind me siren blaring escorting me to the sidewalk. Lucky you.

E bikes are great! Mine is one of the Electra Townie e-bikes. It’s pedal-assist-only, with 4 levels: Eco, Tour, Sport, and Turbo. I generally keep it in Eco until it’s time to turn around and go back. That way I have plenty of juice to make up for the fact that I’m a lot more tired than I was. It’s worth it, just for that piece of mind. And if it starts to look like it’s going to storm, I can usually kick it up to Turbo and make it back before the rain hits.

Hi ActionKid👋 That was a very fun and interesting ride on the E-Bike, you definitely put it through its paces with this ride, with the construction and traffic and all of the people showing how nimble it is. The one thing that I like about it from other E-bikes that I have seen is the display, it appears to be very easy to read even in the bright sunlight, I have seen others where it appears to be very difficult to see the display in the bright sun🌞 There are so many choices of e-bikes in the past few years, I have been toying with the idea of getting one for a few years and I have seen many reviews, the company that sent you this bike, should be very happy with the test that you have given it🙂👍 My only concern is the hydraulic brakes, it appeared that you may have been having an issue with the stopping distance a couple of times, where It appeared that you had to turn out of the way a couple of times, so that you didn't run into the back end of a car. I'm not sure if you were just not fully braking during those times and were planning on going around those vehicles. Otherwise it appeared to do very well with all of the construction, traffic and people🙂👍 Great Ride ActionKid🙂👍

Hi Action Kid! This is a beautiful video and an awesome bike review. As I've mentioned before, I really love the water. Hehehe I've never ridden (let alone) owned an E-bike before. I agree with you that an E-bike would be really convenient for short trips (Except for having to go to the laundry matt, for me.) But other than that I agree a safe E-bike can be really beneficial in the warmer months (I live where it snows, Hahaha) so it takes some weight off the stress of having to pay so much for fuel. Nice bike, but my one question is "if the turning signals are so close together how can anyone tell which way you are turning"? I would just see a tail light and a single flasher. You'd think they could space them at least to the outside distance of the pedal.

The max speed for e bikes and scooters should be 31 mph and under in Florida so nothing new there. The problem is I ride a mountain bike if I decide to use a bike as it’s perfect for Florida. It’s rugged and can climb hills easier and trust me hills are around Florida. I have a nice six speed shifter and a decent gear change system. Honestly I’ve had that bike for so long yet there’s very little I need to do to it just an occasional chain switch and it’s good to go and maybe a tire change but it’s a solid bike at what 20 years old. I barely have to do anything and it handles fine. I would like a e bike but the issue is my size as I’m short but can go distance but because of my stature I need a lower seat but it’s hard to find on e bikes.

Miami doesn't seem like a place to ride bikes like NYC. In NYC drivers expect bicycle riders for deliveries & pleasure, Miami not so much. I will tell you to be careful **and I know you are an experienced bike rider in NYC for yrs**
