12:30 those appear to be Bee keeper boxes. The rocks ontop are to keep raccoons and other animals from just opening it up and eating the honey.

And the pavement is way harder than the gravel and the dirt. I know from experience I wrecked a Sporty a few week's back. But your videos inspired me to pick up a new type of bike I'm set on getting a desert sled to run up here in PA around the Michaux State Forest

That's been the problem in my area. All the trails and fire roads were closed off to vehicle traffic years ago, and so in order to do any sort of off-roading, I'd have to drive out to locations two to three hours away. I miss being able to ride trails on a dirt bike or light off-roading in a truck, before we I moved here.

Hey Yam, video idea for you. Top 3-5 bikes for each age group, 20s, 30s 40s etc. Obviously nothing is set in stone. At this point I'm guessing you are searching for new ideas after years of making vids. Lol :)

I feel you Yammie, I got all excited about adventure riding, after watching Ewan McGregor and Charlie Borman on the long way around. So, I bought a triumph tiger and set out to go adventuring….! However, I live in Northwest Houston (Cypress, TX) and was hard-pressed to find any adventuring opportunities, we don’t have all those cool fire roads like Ian at big rock Moto has. So, I sold the tiger and bought a sport touring bike. I am much happier now. Don’t be afraid to leave your child for 7 to 10 days at a time to take a real adventure trip. Remember, this is your job now. The people would like to see you take a real adventure trip. God bless you and remember, only God can protect you on the motorcycle!

Took my F650GS down some freshly made paths for what I assume is going to be a new subdivision near my house way out in the sticks. No one was around but I still felt a little mischievous. It was awesome.

Yam, first congrats on the baby! I get you on the flat scenery, you should come visit us in Washington State, we have every kind of riding you’d like, mountain roads, coastal roads, dirt, street, best part is none of its flat. Lmk if y’all need a vacation! Fly out here & do a video I got your ticket + lots of bikes to choose from 🎫🤷

I love the messing about. This is how I would have ridden my bike as a teen, but as an adult sometimes I'm too concerned about appearances. I'm now inspired to do a bit of this kind of adventure. I need the practice, and you can't take so many chances far from home riding solo.

when you're playing in parking lots... 40km/h (25mph) emergency stop test... try to beat 1.5 parking spaces (it came down to a tyre upgrade for me) from 3 spaces with the factory tyres and ABS going mad, to ABS leaving me alone and lifting the rear off the ground while stopping in 1/2 the distance! (Comparing Factory fitted MRF 80/20 tyres, to Pirelli MT60 80/20 tyres)

what's "Legal" and what is acceptable are too different things... riding around somewhere you're not supposed to be on a dirtbike, making lots of noise and ripping up the ground... that's neither! but puttering around on an ADV nice and quiet like, without causing damage or disturbance, may not be legal, but few will care, especially if you stop and say hi to people. Other riders do give good ideas for places to ride. I went to a Car club event (on my bike) and an experienced ADV rider who was also there (who also rallies cars) told me about some gravel roads to take on my bike to get to some interesting places, see some awesome views, over 50km (30 miles) of consistent gravel roads. after the event made for an amazing day. (What worries me, he actually knows Chris Birch, who doesn't live too far away... I know I'm going to get schooled sooner or later, whether I'm ready for it or not!)
