Nice little Honda. I wish you would show the acceleration on a flat road from stop to top speed. I also noticed you cut out video going up hills as the bike was slowing down. We know it only has 10 hp. It would be nice to have the real feel off the bike, but it is a nice bike. This was one of my favorite bikes 60 years ago. Thanks for the nice video.

Much appreciated! Great to hear you are enjoying your Super Cub! I have the Cortech Super 2.0 14-liter tail bag. Mine fits neatly on the OEM rack and has adjustable tie-downs which minimizes hanging off the sides. Cortech also makes side bags as part of a modular system. A beautiful day for a ride-along; thanks for sharing! Have you had it on any significantly steep hills or even mtn roads? If so, how was the climb up and control, braking on the way down? (I saw one reviewer didn’t like the brakes.)

Thank you for your comments! I have probably ridden the Super Cub in some ways it wasn’t optimally designed to handle especially for the general U.S. road system. By that, I mean 100-mile day trips/ pleasure cruising on a fair number of 55mph roads. I would bet that a majority of SC owners will use it primarily for local commuting on urban streets, which are ideal conditions for this bike of course. While we certainly have mountains in North Carolina, I’m located in the central part of the state, a few hours east of the Appalachians. Still, there are some very hilly places that I’ve encountered along with flat by-ways. With only a four-speed 125cc, you have to wring it out on the steeper grades. It pulls nicely on hills but let’s say you’re rolling on a relatively flat piece of road at 50 mph and encounter a steep incline lasting for 1/4 mile. My average experience is that, depending on the grade, I can maintain speed in 4th for maybe halfway up due to momentum before needing to downshift to 3rd to keep it in the 45mph range. It will hold speed pretty well but it won’t have a lot of acceleration until traversing the grade. Hope this makes sense. I realize my observations aren’t scientific! I have seen a common theme expressed in some online forums about how much fun the Super Cub is for many riders. What strikes me is how many who own larger displacement bikes say they have as much or even more fun on the SC. YMMV. It really is a fun cycle with a different vibe. It definitely has its limitations but what it does it does very well!

As for the brakes, I don't really have any complaints. I think the stock setup pairs just fine with the overall weight and power of the bike.

VERY reliable in my experience. If there are to be any problems unrelated to normal wear and tear, they will probably involve the keyless ignition/ electronics. Just a guess though and not a guarantee.

The Super Cub is listed on the Richmond Honda House website. As a Honda dealer, they should be able to order one for you. They will probably require a deposit. If for some reason they won't order for you, then it's simply a matter of searching other Honda dealer's inventories or inquiring if they'd order one for you. I know there is a Honda dealer in Durham, North Carolina which has two Super Cubs in stock for sale. You might be able to find something closer to your location. Hope this helps!

Have had mine up to 66 mph based upon GPS data. Check out Quasi Motard’s channel. I think he has a video where he’s hit 73 after a sprocket mod. That’s a lot of speed for the scale of the bike IMO.

@@steelbenderproductions5915 TO me they feel like they start to get a little sketch over 50 or so. The skinny tires just aren't made for that speed. I have looked into slightly wider tires but haven't looked in a while.

Those tires look awfully shiny. NEVER put Armor-all or similar tire shine products on a motorcycle tire. That is unless you want to find yourself laying in the road.
