This brings back memories...the orange line from Malden is the only subway train I ever rode back in the early 80s! Thanks AK!

Fact: in the old days, the orange line was home to an L that ran on the outer parts of the city, similar to Chicago, Philadelphia, and of course New York. Sadly, in the late 80s, as part of a modernization project, the L was closed and demolished then rerouted to other parts in the North with modern infrastructure and to the Southwest Corridor down South which runs next to the electrified railroad tracks for the Commuter Rail and Amtrak trains; the underground portion remains the same with modernizations, renovations, and renamings. Assembly station is the only infill station on the T's rapid transit system; it opened in 2014 and the Silver Line routes SL4 and SL5 replace the southern section of the former L.

These old subway trains are such garbage. It was time for a complete overhaul and Boston delivered...it's a shame the new trains aren't fully operational yet. Excellent video regardless, Actionkid!!

They say that we all get 15 minutes of fame in our lifetime. Little did the guy in the Red Sox baseball cap, sitting across from AK, know that he was going to squander most of his allotted time in this video, basically doing nothing except stare into his smartphone. A terrible waste of fame there. 🤠
