I like how you got the young bucks involved with the video production, they’ll enjoy looking back on these videos someday 💯👍

Thanks! That’s the whole reason we have the channel. Get the kids off electronics and out exploring to make memories!

@@RuggedTrailAdventures that’s what I’m talkin about! My channel is all about me and my son’s outdoor adventures up here in north Georgia, way better than video games!

Tires.... tires.... tires! I did Charley's Creek 6 months ago in my Tacoma... 3 inch lift with 33inch KO2s and walked through those areas with zero problems. A rear locker helps as well. Really cool video though. I appreciate the effort that goes into making one!
@RuggedTrailAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Those were 33’s, but we did just upgrade for our trip to Moab next month. A 3 inch lift would help and lockers would have helped for sure

Looks awesome. I’ve been wanting to do this trail. That one road with all the off camber holes might be a little to much for my tahoe on 34s solo.
@ickess2 жыл бұрын
I’d like to do this but have a pretty stock ford expedition. 4 high and 4 low. Falken wildpeak at3 tires. I used to drive the beaches on Long Island. Not sure she’s got the flex for those ruts

The ruts have mostly been filled in the last time we were there in May ‘22

I love Charley's Creek Road. My mother lives within an hour and have taken her stock unlimited wrangler on it a couple of times while visiting. Looks a little more gnarly than when I was there in January. My understanding is Trey Mountain Road is even more difficult. They will probably grade it some before reopening it - won't take to long for it to degrade to a fun jeeping trail. Did you air down your tires at all? It was difficult to tell on the vid.
@RuggedTrailAdventures3 жыл бұрын
That road was awesome. It stunk that Tray was closed but we went to Cashes Valley instead. I did not air down since we were on and off pavement. I do run my pressure a bit low all the time anyway though. Get the Jeep, let’s go have some fun!

@@RuggedTrailAdventures Oh....did you take a chainsaw with you? I saw allot of downed trees that had been cut. We came across one when my brother had his jeep and tried to pull it with the jeep to clear the road, but it was too big.

There’s camping spots everywhere along these trails, it’s mainly National Forest. I’m the same way, if I can spend the weekend out there, I’m down 💯👍

Thanks for the video. What size tires are on your gladiator? Any other upgrades?
@RuggedTrailAdventures2 жыл бұрын
The gladiator is running falken wildpeak 285/75r17. Only other mods were bumper, winch, and lighting. The one we met up with at Charlie’s Creek is on 35’s and I’m guessing 2” lift

So at the 11 minute mark why didn't the rubicon pickup just lock his front end?

Don’t know. We met them at the water crossing. Maybe they wanted more of a challenge. I know the son was out for the first or second time.

what routes were this? if you dont mind sharing
@RuggedTrailAdventures3 жыл бұрын
This was from Burrells Ford Road in SC to Helen, GA on the traverse. The larger water crossing is off of Tallulah River Rd. After the crossing it becomes Charlie’s Creek Rd. I have the waypoints but we are currently in Moab so I can post them in June. You can also download the gpx file directly from Georgia Traverse website
