People are basically nice, no matter where you go. Another terrific video, Ryan and Ali! I'm looking forward to seeing what you give us after visiting the Trek factory. Little bit of my history.....I worked in the bike trade and, in the last full-time job at a bike shop in Campbelltown, Sydney, Australia, we sold Trek bikes. Also, after moving west in 2010, I bought a Trek road bike, a 1.2 model. However, I have upgraded everything on that bike, except for the handlebars! Can you believe that? My current bike bears absolutely no resemblance to the Trek 1.2. Unfortunately, it's not what you'd call suitable for bike touring. C'est la vie!

Ryan, I enjoyed your video. Of course the fireflies were cool to say because I haven't seen them since I left Pennsylvania to live in California and elsewhere in the West. I just love watching your videos from start to finish... they are so uplifting and bring emotion to me every time. That love Cycles theme surely helps carry you through and Across the Nation in a positive sense that only gives back to everyone that watches your videos. That 1800 foot long tunnel was very cool and I'm sure it is a great memory for you after experiencing it. I guess a lot of these Trails your riding on are in fact part of the Rails to Trails strategy. At least they have tree cover along the trail to help prevent boredom with the flat Midwest?

I travel by myself with barebone essentials, when I break down, it's only me by myself, with no one around that's REAL. I see these losers on KZbin with a support team stating they "traveling across America" as if that's real or even counts as traveling. Lol. And then see these types of happy go lucky people stating they make friends wherever they go, NOT REAL, people Suck! I'm from Kansas City, middle of the map, currently in Seattle, I know how people.

I have been following your journey across America since the beginning. Ken and Jeanne make a very good point, do what you enjoy doing and to not stop your partner from doing what they enjoy. Also don't force the other to do something they are not interested in. My wife and I are totally different in what activities we do, I love cycling (mtn and road) , my wife really isn't into to it. Granted, early on in our marriage she gave cycling a try and enjoyed it, but now her interest have changed. The person you fell in Love with is not you, but a different individual period, different likes and dislikes (which will vary as life goes by). I had a friend whose wife tried to deny him any free time to do what he enjoyed and try to change him and who his friends were. Ultimately, that marriage failed, total bummer because he tried to make it last.

@ Ryan Duzer- Love the videos, but honestly cant help but always hope bad thinfs happen to those with such positive attitudes, because happy attracts luck, but also evil, which I always find the happiest people suck the most as in, life needs to beat you down more because anyone that happy is definitely a POS human who life needs to beat down to make people realize life is NOT easy.
