The Motor Goat v3 comes with a key fob in the accessory bag. I keep my "ignition" key, battery key, and rear-wheel lock bar key on the fob. I keep that fob in my pocket with my larger key chain. I reach into my pocket and pull out the smaller forb with 3 keys on it, when I wish to ride the Goat. You have your front turn signals on backwards as seen at the beginning of the video. This is a mistake, as the cars ahead of you need to know if you are about to turn, and not just the cars behind you. For those who must arrive at work without being sweaty, the throttle only option works well. It is my "commute to work" eBike, as I have to arrive to work without sweat in my environment. A lighter rear shock (350 pounds versus 450 pounds) is available from Goat Bikes for 99 bucks. This is the solution for lighter riders. It gives a smoother street ride. On Goat bikes shipped now, the controller is better secured and does not rattle. Mine was secured by a big wide pad of double stick foam. Goat offers a seat lift plate, for those with longer legs. This makes it easier for taller people to pedal. On mine, all the plugs went to either controls, throttle, brakes, or the headlamp/turn signals. I had no spare un-used connections. Mine was ordered in late March. It was delivered 13 June. I adjusted my wheel size to match the speedometer with what my GPS reported. The stock speed read 1 MPH high for every 20 MPH. This made it have a 2 MPH error at 42 (actual speed was 40 MPH). The correct wheel size is 22.8 inches, which makes the speedometer match the GPS spot-on. The second battery certainly offers more range. It also gives a bit more speed because there is less voltage sag from the battery under the full (3000 Watt, 50 amp) load. The price of Goat Bikes are expected to go up on July the first, 2024. This is to compensate the 25% tariff increase recently put into place. eBikes previously had an exemption from this tariff. And YES, I love the seat. It is the most comfortable ride of any of my eBikes. The battery wobble comes from the fact the battery Base (which the battery slides out of), is sitting on 3 short plastic stand-offs from the frame of the goat. Installing rigid spacers to the side of the three mounting bolts (between the battery base and the frame) will eliminate the battery wobble. Even using high density black foam between the battery base and the frame should reduce/eliminate the wobble. I have done this exact fix, but have not used it enough to give a final verdict. The black foam could be mounted with double sticky tape, or for a more permanent connection "rubber contact cement" As a note, the foam will likely have to be slightly thicker than you estimate, as even high-density foam compresses over time. But, if you make it too thick, you risk cracking the base as you tighten the three bolts which hold the base.

Can't wait for a distance test. I imagine you will use power assist 2, but I would actually love to see a pedal assist lvl 1 mode distance ride, just to truly see how far it can really go throttle only on the lowest speed/power setting as that would probably give a good true max vs top speeds that seem to entice people so much.

I wonder if the battery seeming loose is a shock absorber to help battery life from jolting around? I would think with single battery they should have it mounted in the lower saddle part of frame for lower center of gravity. But a fuel tank battery does look cool. Probably why its up there. Anyways cool stuff. Thanks for showing it off! :D
@addertooth14 ай бұрын
The battery has exceptionally large capacity at 60+ volts and 25 Amp hour of capacity. Because of its large size, you would bang your shins/feet/knees on it in a lower position. The optional second battery is only 20 Amp hour of capacity, and it mounts in the lower position. The second battery is more narrow but has less capacity. They will be selling a monster 50 Amp hour second battery soon. It fits in that HUGE void under the main battery.

@iblackfeathers4 ай бұрын
when it comes to the style of these bikes, have sort of a pet peeve on wannabee fuselages. visually it looks like it gets in the way or is an eye sore or out of place just because it’s just right there, right in front of you… if you bend over to reach in front of you while on the bike. there is a large gap or empty space where the battery typically goes on pedal-assisted bikes. other than that, super73 style bikes look awesome but personally would look for one without that fuselage look. on a motorcycle it has a legit purpose but on ebikes you have other places a battery can be placed.

@addertooth14 ай бұрын
No, he either got the wrong wiring harness, or he left some stuff unconnected. The optional battery does not route through the handlebars. Clearly, his display, throttle, and PAS mode control is connected, as well as the turn signals. He didn't show the high/low beam headlamp in use, so maybe that is one of his disconnected connections.
