Riding to Southport through the Croston Bends!!

Hey Guys!
You know that I take you lot along with me on my travels!
Well, on this day - Some friends and I decided to make the most of the weather and go for a ride to Southport!
I have never ridden the Crosten Bends before, for some reason - my route to Southport has always been fairly boring - well not any more!

Hi Kate, great vlog, all those roads from Croston to Southport and then on to Parbold and back through Wrightington and Eccelston are all my local roads. You should go to Eccy Delph bike meet on a Tuesday night and go down all the country roads to get there. You’ll love them. Keep up the great work. Gary.

I HATE average speed camera zones. We have one from Perth all the way to Glasgow its awful, 62 miles of cruise control boredom. Cool video tho. I really enjoyed seeing all these awesome views. Do more of these!

Enjoying this. Seeing areas I’ve ridden myself is oddly exciting! Random fact, that Miller & Carter at the summit of Parbold Hill is where I had my first kiss with my other half! If you’re about in that area, there’s a place not too far away called Delph Diver Training Centre. There’s a little cafe there and used to be bike nights on Tuesdays that I hope return soon. The wiggly roads are good fun there.

With the Cardo system you just need to say “hey” then the command like “radio”. Love my Cardo packtalk, the call quality is better on that than it is in my wife’s car.

Hey Cardo is how I start out with Siri by the third hey Siri it usually ends with some salty language that Siri doesn’t appreciate. The Mecca gathering spot in my area is Alice’s Restaurant in Ca. US it attracts bikes and some super cars, with beautiful mountainous curvy roads through the redwood trees.

User name Kate I went for my first test ride yesterday weather was great I think my parents were watching lol 😅 I lost them 7 years ago so need fun back I went on the speed triple 1200 rs loved it such a comfortable and easy to ride motorcycles and so many people said was too fast for first motorcycle they told me to get a 600 cc I made the right choice pick up next week 😅

Hit it on the head Kate, fours are (dare I say) boring and a bit clinical. I've had a new Blackbird and Hayabusa and various others over the years, ended up with v-Strom 650 and loved it, then went to Versys 1000SE GT and Ninja 1000SX and they are all the same, hence me loving the Tiger 900GT Pro.

I might be with you on the Japanese bikes. I’m quite an old fart with my old opinions. My first road bike was a 71 Honda 750. I was 18 and abused it unmercifully. It stood up well but had no soul. I went on to a couple of Commandos then a 1974 Ducati 750 Sport. They tugged at your heart strings. The Japanese bikes are without fault, but it’s like buying a washer or refrigerator. They’re like an appliance.
