The three places I used to see tons of lizards was OKC west, south Dallas, and west Memphis. Don't know if they are still there or not, don't stop in those locations anymore. I'll stop before or after. 👍🏼

For us non-truckers, why do you slide the tandems? Part if I think might be maneuvering..,.but when backing into a dock? Better weight distribution?

Many customers require us to slide our tandems all the way to the rear when loading or unloading because it gives the forklifts a solid base to drive on. If the tandems are slid forward, the rear of the trailer can dip down several feet when the forklift enters or exits then rapidly spring back up causing the forklift to tip forward and possibly drop the load it's carrying. In some cases, your trailer won't be at the right height to fit into the dock with the tandems slid forward.

They would send you a load delivering as close as possible to your house and then deadhead you home after you deliver it. There’s some cfi customers in Florida, but not too many. Probably a non issue but a recruiter could tell ya for sure.

I pulled up to a location to pick up a trailer, No trucks were at the location, I was happy, I see a tractor drop off a fresh trailer for me, I go to pull up to it and out of nowhere a dude in another truck cuts me off and backs into it. I am like, what the hell dude! He says, my trailer. I get all pissed and ask what the hell makes him think he is ahead of me, In my mind I was there first, He points across the filed a half mile away where 5 trucks are in a line, he says, the line starts over their buddy. Oh Shit! My bad.

Maverick is getting the mirror technology installed on their trucks. Makes it much safer driving at night and in inclement weather. Some of their drivers were concerned if it failed on the road. System has 6 backup systems, I believe. The only complaint I have seen from their drivers is positioning of sun visors at time can be problematic. But the majority of their drivers like them.
