Who else thinks Richard should do a test of curtain rails in the woods in his next video?
@tourcheverybridge11 ай бұрын
I do, but on a wild camp please..😂
@liammalarky348311 ай бұрын
Definitely. With 1970's style bead curtains, a heated food "hostess" trolley, possibly a "teasmaid" and a couple of lava lamps. Will need a helluva long extension cable, though.

@liammalarky348311 ай бұрын
@livetofightagain aye, the teas maid had an alarm sound so horrendously loud and GRATING, I'm sure they were sold to NATO to warn of the 3rd shock army's advance!

Small camper-vaners that would work for. The idea of not using gas (propane) or waiting for an early morning fire to warm up a coffee, attracts me. I'm tempted. Neat. A lovely vlog as usual Richard. Ta

exactly. safer when you are groggy and want to stay cozied up without having to fire up the brain too much first to get the brain fired up. nice

Very interesting review. I do see a market amongst travellers, but for camping etc I think I would go for something like a Moka express, 1 cup 60ml, 2 cup 90ml, 3 cup 130ml, 4 cup 185ml all the way up to 18 cup 800ml. I must try the cheese thing looks fantastic.
@RobCanada11 ай бұрын
Richard, nice video and nice review. I make a few espressos in the woods most days using a Waco hand press thing. I'll be taking a look at this. (The cheese looked good, although I thought you were going to burn your mouth ) :)

Since l don't drink coffee, the review held little interest (this time) for me. However l've some lovely Laura Ashley curtains for the backroom that need putting up this weekend!

A very good review. As someone has already mentioned, expresso is the base for all barista coffees, so for americano add water, or hot milk for a latte, and so on. I'll stick with the method shown by Tom on Cimbrer Bushcraft, though. Pile in the coffee, boil it up, add salt (!) and an optional shot of whisky, then wink and drink the lot. Grounds and all.

Re your older dog i would recommend the sardines in tomato sauce ( with bones about 50p) and mix with their feed. I am convinced it gave our dear lurcher a few more years of motability.

Richard, interesting the gizmos out there that just work, but I am a simple instant coffee man that seriously enjoyed the cheese. Cheese. All the best and we have to see the curtain rails, maybe hung up in a tart tent 🤣.

Looks pretty rad. Who wouldn't pack that in on occasion to have a legit espresso in the woods. Nice choice of coffee too! We get Lavazza in the states, we love it!
@Rogar011 ай бұрын
Thanks for that Richard! It really does look amazing! Annyway you can always use the expresso as a base for a good BIG cup of coffee with warm milk! The cheese looked amazing too, I could smell it from here on Lake Balaton! Thanks for an independant review!

Interesting coffee device, we're sure it fits some specific circumstances (as you said) very well. Not tried the current bake as shown here, worth a look, the last one we tried was rather lacking, but that was some time ago. Good luck with both dogs, our terriers are now 11 and 6, and still do what it says on the tin... J&A&B&T

You should really test the AEROPRESS cup side by side with that contraption! For me, an AEROPRESS espresso is every bit as good as one from my big Espresso machine in my kitchen...
@RichardOutdoors11 ай бұрын
The Aeropress is not an Espresso machine. It’s a coffee press/percolator. Have you tried the Outin? It sounds as though you have is you are able to make the comparison.

Cool looking device, and who doesn't love a nice espresso in the morning. I love my aeropress, but the thing missing is a nice smooth crema from that. I never want a big coffee, just want a nice strong shot

Lovely little cameo, Miss O, at 7mins 57seconds..! Your dad did ok too 😅. We loved your video, as usual, Mr O but feel you should’ve said “Yes” to the curtain rail and brought it with you to review alongside the espresso gadget 😉. That cheese looked tremendous - that’s a double thumbs up from us 👍🏻👍🏻 S&D 😊😊

Hi Richard, I have the same unit in black. It's brilliant! Here are a few things -- first the scoop, when you take the portafilter and place it over it, fits perfectly and with a quick flick of the wrist to invert it helps to keep coffee from ending up on the floor. Secondly, the scoop will fit and stow perfectly in the cup (extraction) end of the unit. Thirdly, the second portafilter -- which you can use with Nespresso Pods fits in the water reservoir. The top cover also serves as a stand that can be used to hold the device upright when you are stowing it at home. There is something about this design philosophy that I truly love.

Why don't you use your own designed stove anymore? As for the coffee machine - if you are going to carry something as big as a small thermos why note take a thermos with a couple of desert spoons of coffee; you can get more than one small drink?
@RichardOutdoors11 ай бұрын
Why do I have to use just my stove? If you are so unhappy with my videos then don’t watch. Simple.
