BADMINTON SHUTTLE FEEDER PART 2: dispensing mechanism (diaphragm)

Hello guys! Today I'm showing you the dispensing mechanism of my badminton shuttle feeder: it is made of two diaphragm mechanisms which are super-positioned. The two mechanisms are driven with two stepper motors which are connected to A4988 stepper motor drivers. The drivers are connected to an Arduino UNO. It still needs some improvements, but the result is satisfying, thus the video. The whole mechanism has been 3D printed for 40 swiss francs. Thanx for watching guys.

I can never figure out how to set the voltage on those A4988s.

I guess you talk about this V_ref business: well, first you need to know the max current per phase of your motor. In my case it is 1.7A/phase. Then you plug this number into the equation that polulu website gives you and you get your V_ref which is an upper limit. www.pololu.com/product/1182 In my case I have about V_ref = 1V.

This design is excellent..Good thinking. I was struggling with Gripper arm (Manipulator) for picking shuttle. Do you mind sharing the solidworks file through dropbox link or so..Waiting for Part-3...Thanks
