Finally something in English about this new 'rolls royce' of bikes

I would have preferred a Bosch motor along with the Bosch ABS system in conjunction with the Pinion gearing. Also I prefer the built-in ABUS lock. Currently own Riese & Muller Homage GT Rohloff HS with ABS. However, I'm very interested in this new bike and it was told it won't come to the United States until 2026. Plus a non-Class 3 motor is a deal killer and ideally the dual-battery option or one (huge) battery!

One issue with this motor is when the ebike battery is empty, you can't change gear :) That limits it to be ridden next to a plug all the time, no off-road or long journey.

Wow. That’s a huge oversight. I wouldn’t buy it if that’s true.

I think it has a system don't let you use all battery. that for the lighting and shifting
@Ho0s13r5 ай бұрын
I don’t think that’s true, pretty sure I’ve seen a video where Pinion state it can still shift quite a few times even after the battery stops powering the motor.

@@Ho0s13r I know this based on the FAQ part under Tout-Terrain's e-expedition Pamir bike: 5. Can I also ride the e-bike when the battery is empty? Yes, but it is no longer possible to shift gears when the battery is completely empty. The system stops the motor assistance as soon as the battery charge level has reached 5%. This is then only available for the display, lighting and gear changes. In this case, the battery should be recharged as quickly as possible. My worry stands. What if I'm stuck middle of nowhere, for example had to extend my tour because the road was closed and it's middle of the night?

@@peterwong1778 Yes, but only the last 5%. Do you think you will be in a situation that you need the lighting system, display system and changing gear for more than a few hours?

Which has lowest (easiest) gear, the pinion mgu or rohloff?

European 250W restriction is crazy. 🤪

Nope, is perfect. It helps a lot uphill, it preserves the bike feeling. However, hub motors at this power level simply can't compete.

Will super delite have this gearbox and abs ???

Is all about reducing unsprung weight in rear wheel. No many bikes have this. What is rear wheel max travel?
@badabing88845 ай бұрын
Would be very interested how much this eventually retails in UK. The Homage 4 with Rohlhoff and bells and whistles I have looked at came in at a whopping £9.6k. So if it is cheaper than that….Still, it’s the insurance (against theft) and servicing on top that also need factored in.

Notice the belt…they don’t have to split the back frame to get belt on the back cog…brilliant…and keeps belt well hidden…

R&M wasn't Bosch all the way. The also did Fazua 60.

Kudos for the lightest unsprung mass on rear wheel of all bikes with rear rack. Now halve the price, reduce the weight by at least 5 kg and then it may become the perfect e-bike.

I love Riese & Muller but they're not doing themselves any favors with this design, with all lines leading to that big hub.

Why the annoying music?! That was loud and annoying enough to make me dislike the video and stop watching.
