It's a minor point but I love the absence of welding on the front. So much more attractive. Wish they'd dome the same with the rear triangle but we're getting there....

On R&M internet site, only Pinion transmission is available with this new frame; Bosch is available with previous frame. I am suprised that Delite5 has bottle carrier fixations on diagonal tube, but on this new homage, diagonal tube seems to be completly flat. Is it possible to use external battery (535w according to Pinion site) on this new Homage5, in order to get similar range as the existing double batteries version ? Coffee lock, improved stand, rear rack with higher weight capacity are great improvments. I don't understand why rear light has been moved lower, on read mudgard, where it is less visible by near vehicules, and more prone to get coverd by dirt.

ABS Braking? Reduced Range? I have the Homage4 with dual battery and ABS .. please make it better! 🙏

Still no USB charging port? I have a Superdelite and love it. I can see me buying another one when the battery life is doubled. Currently I get 70 miles on Tour which is too little for me so I have a second set of batteries which works OK. I need min 100 miles on Tour.

I own an older R&M, they’re nice bikes, but the pricing is insane. At £8k, these new models are only a few quid away from where a BMW CE-04 is now discount selling at - which is a complex fully equipped e motorbike with much larger motor, much larger battery, and full road safety equipment.

I hope there is a 32kph speed setup which is the leagal speed in Canada for a Class 1 e-bike

Don't you think the battery capacity is too small?
@badabing88843 ай бұрын
Depends how you use it. For journeys up to 80m as long as you can charge it then it absolutely fine.

Wow, I do fancy one of those. I've had a Delite 11 with a Rohloff, & currently have a Homage with a Rohloff. The only problem is, when they arrive, I'll be approaching age 82. Would I get any value from it? If Martin or Mike are watching, get in touch

go into any good Bikeshop... Ride a Pinion MGU Bike.... test out if the MGU gives you something you desire! the main new selling point is the MGU... its drives different... go test it on a bike dosnt have to be this one... the MGU itself drives the same on any bike

I have a dual battery Homage4 with the Rohloff HS and ABS. I've ordered the Homage5 but I'm concerned about it not having the same range and in particular the ABS. The ABS is saved my bacon more than once. Bosch is not the only company that offers an ABS system so hopefully R&M does something to correct this by the time they send it to the United States in 2026.

So, how much are we talking about for the Pinion non high speed version? Edit: that bell is shit on an £8k bike.
@EDEMOElectricBikes3 ай бұрын
The standard version is £7,889 and the HS version £8,259.

And yet you don't pay gas, insurance, parking, contribute to externalized costs associated with vehicle pollution and deaths, etc.

(Not trying to be snarky btw. Just wanted to point out even with an upfront cost of like 10k, the bikes will pay for themselves within a few years and anything after that is gravy. The upfront cost is quite prohibitive for sure, though.)
