All the guys in Lamb of God always come off as just the nicest, politest, and well-spoken guys. I briefly met Mark and Chris at the airport once, and they were the most down-to-earth dudes. Makes me love their music even more. Respect!

Neat.. I bet it was a total treat meeting them.

I am in no way a fan of "showy" guitars or lamb of god really, but those guitars are beautiful and I love their approach to gear and playing.
WHO USED A MAXON OD? CAUSE I DIDNT SEE ONE IN WHOLE VIDEO? ALL I SAW OD WISE WAS A MXR GT-OD WHICH IS A GREAT GREAT OD PEDAL, IF IT WASENT FOR THE KHDK GOUL SCREAMER I WOULD STILL HAVE ONE, THE GOUL SCREAMER IS A GT-OD ON STEROIDS WITH ALL THE SWITCHES

The best Rig Rundown ever. Half an hour of an in depth run through of one of the absolute best modern metal band's gear.
@bryanMangabang3 жыл бұрын
This is so far the best rig rundown i've seen. Started from the very first and 100+ rig rundowns later this shows close up pictures of the rack setup.

I KNOW I DIDNT GET TO THE END YET, I WANTED TO CHECK THE COMMENTS TO SEE IF ANYONE KNEW WHAT THE DEAL WITH THAT WAS OR TO SEE IF ANY MENTIONED THEM MENTIONING IT, I HOPE THEY TALK ABOUT IT CAUSE THE CURIOSITY FACTOR IS DRIVING ME CRAZY
@weedshoes50897 жыл бұрын
Mesa endorses LoG. They wouldn't want Marshall product placement in the LoG rig rundown.

hahaha. just saw Deftones' rundown and now this one: it's like night & day...love both bands \m/
@howler91712 жыл бұрын
What was Deftones rundown like? Don't they use axe-fx digital stuff now instead of real amps?
@shimonbenloulou17787 жыл бұрын
i really like this series of shows.. particularly when the artists doodle on the guitar to show you how the sound changes but this is not one of those episodes
@blacktoothfox6772 жыл бұрын
Must be the 20th time I've watched this and ALL my favourite beasts of the wild METAL!!!!🍀 Man... Am pleased to sit here with my own great rig, and soaking up the rigs of the greats...
@mitchell271910 жыл бұрын
While these interviews are interesting, most of the artists just sound so profoundly BORED. Nice to see an exception to this
@cobaltSP1D3R10 жыл бұрын
yeah thats something ive noticed about mark, he actually enjoys talking about guitars as apposed to the regular,repetitive band bullshit
@cobaltSP1D3R10 жыл бұрын
its also nice when the interviewer knows and cares about what he/she is talking about
@nkjagshenry9 жыл бұрын
^ yea, he and herman li get really into their guitars

I think many just don't understand their own gear enough to converse well about it.
@johnstitt26156 жыл бұрын
mitchell2719 Malmsteen also seems interested in his gear. Gear nut. Loved working on his signature pickups he did. Yoda speak. Yes
@NaasaX11 жыл бұрын
this is what a good rig review supposed to be. not just "it sounds good" but a detailed approach to the tone.
@saintlotus9311 жыл бұрын
I've been waiting for this for a very long time.
@andrewt2489 жыл бұрын
Wow. A lot of bands are using iso-cabs for FOH. Pretty cool.
@JohnSmith-dg9sy9 жыл бұрын
andrewt248 iso's are great for live shows as they're not affected by a venues sound. Different size rooms give different sounds, one night a set up might sound really boomy and another it might sound thin and weak. Iso cabs cut a lot of that out and gives a really consistent sound
@Saxby8six11 жыл бұрын
I also have a mark 5 and love it. I'm in a cover band that plays a little bit of everything and this amp does it all.
@Aaron_LH11 жыл бұрын
Tone is separate from frequency response. For example, if you palm mute closer to the bridge, you will get a deeper more heavy tone out of each chug. If you use a thinner pick you will get more attack as opposed to having a thicker pick which gives you a tighter sound. The actual output of your rig in terms of frequency response isn't affected very much by these factors but it is affected somewhat. Tone is in the hands, frequency response is in the amp/pickups/guitar/cable etc

@patrickolivier13 жыл бұрын
I love it lol!!!
@mockbear19 жыл бұрын
Those guitars look nice. Love the 2 vol 2 tone setup so you can have more control over your tone via the guitar. Passive pickups have more character than EMGS and you can def hear the difference in their music. I'm not fan of jackson but id consider buying one of these.
@billyrouse48139 жыл бұрын
EMG's have a different character than passives for sure. I use and like both in the guitars they are in.

Thanks Premier- this is the most interesting stuff!
@kevinshelton37489 жыл бұрын
Marks signature guitar is badass. It looks like a cross between a Fender telecaster and a jaguar/jazzmaster with Gibson hardware. And that make perfect sense if you have ever seen his collection of guitars he keeps at home.
@nathanselestok676611 жыл бұрын
Even the guitar tech has a beard......now that's dedication!!
@MrTehproworld9 жыл бұрын
I love the camo on Willie's guitars and I love the shape of Mark's dominions
@msandonato238 жыл бұрын
I like how Mark actually knows his stuff. Alot of these guys depend so heavily on their techs, and they just play. Nothing wrong with that....Mark is just interesting. He seems like the coolest guy too lol
@MDC2496 жыл бұрын
0:18 he didn't care how the interviewer was doing 😂😂
@evhvampire11 жыл бұрын
Mark is just so cool
@ET3BASS11 жыл бұрын
He's referring to the bridge pickup. It has alan head pole pieces, which means it's a DiMarzio.

check out the skatecaster from charvel (i subcompany like fender and i belive jackson used to own charvel) it's like very similar and for the price its better than the cheaper version of the morton signatur
@SawyerSmoak10 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I've seen them before. They rock. More or less a metal upped Jazzmaster

Nice guys. Very good rundown.
@Aaron_LH11 жыл бұрын
SixStringHarmonies says it best. The term "tone" (at least as far as guitar playing goes) is for whatever reason, completely open for interpretation. It just encompasses to much because in a vague sense, tone is MANY things.
@Knosferatu8 жыл бұрын
Great musicians.
@billyrouse48137 жыл бұрын
Mark said he puts DiMarzio's in all his guitars, yet the one with the spalted maple top has a Seymour Duncan in the neck.
@EclipseAtDusk11 жыл бұрын
It in fact is, probably his signature pickup.

@furbymetal8310 жыл бұрын
Those dominions seem pretty awesome.. buuuuut, I m not digging that 2x vol 2x tone control placement, all crammed together. 1 vol and 1 tone is the way to go, thats why I went like Daaaaaamn when I saw the custom spalted maple top model.
@Nameless16411 жыл бұрын
Anyone know where I can get my hands on one of those iso cabs? I assume they're custom built, but it's a lot more common for bands to use these.

Problem with your response is that I DO know what I'm talking about. I've been playing guitar for ten years and I've had countless rigs over the years. I'm not going to bother with this though. Believe what you wish.
