I like your setup. I'm looking at a 2015 Sequoia Platinum 4x4 from a private sale. Has 58k on it and they are asking $39,999 for it and it seems to be in really good condition. I too like the more minimalist look and don't want it to be too crazy. Thanks for the video!

Those tires wouldn't fit on the stock 20" rim but fit on the Fuel 20" rim?
@OverlandCommand2 жыл бұрын
They fit the stock rim, but the tires rubbed on the vehicle. I needed to get wheels that offset them out farther so they wouldnt rub.
@apleparulo39582 жыл бұрын
@@OverlandCommandDid you go with the Cooper AT3 4S? Also, do you surmise the rubbing issue was due to the increased width or height of the tire vs stock? I'm thinking of using a 275/60/20 which is the same height as yours but the stock width. I have no lift in my 2016 Platinum, so I'm wondering if I may encounter the rubbing issue that you did. Thanks.
@OverlandCommand2 жыл бұрын
@@apleparulo3958 I dont recall without going to look which AT3 they are. The rubbing was the width - on stock rims, they contacted the frame and suspension at full lock. The new wheels moved them out and stopped the rubbing.
@OverlandCommand2 жыл бұрын
@@apleparulo3958 The increased width caused it to rub the frame, and the offset of the new wheels solved it.

How does lifting impact the auto leveler when towing? I have a 17 platinum and tow camper near weight spec limits, any insight? Any direct impact to ride selection (sport, neutral, comfort)? Thx, Dustin
@OverlandCommand3 жыл бұрын
It keeps working just like always, lifting the rear to the highest position (where it already is). So it works, but it is less noticeable. Shouldnt affect your towing. The ride selection works like normal - no impact.

Hi. Great video! In the description for the video it says platinum, in the video you keep calling it a limited. I am looking at purchasing a platinum and just want to confirm that yours is a platinum? I’m pretty sure I saw a platinum in the video

You had to get aftermarket wheels to fit 33’s or to fit 33’s wider than stock?
@OverlandCommand4 жыл бұрын
I wanted to go wider than stock. These are 305. They rubbed on the stock wheels. A 285/295 might have fit - not sure.

I tried lifting our Platinum but was told the air ride sensor was in the way and couldn’t be moved. Wondering what the work around is. Thank you

The rear lift is to set the air ride to its highest. Anything else will disable the air height ability.

@@marshmellow3110 You adjust the sensor under the car. When you tighten it, you have told the car the new "normal" height.

what steps did you follow to raise the air suspension in the back?
@OverlandCommand3 жыл бұрын
Adjust the leveling adjusters in front of the real suspension. Loosen the nut, push the arm all the way to the top, and retighten the nut. By the time you crawl back out, its lifted up.

Nice rig! I like the minimalist approach as well. I like the ride of our sequoia. I just sold the 4runner for a larger family vehicle and couldn't afford a Land Cruiser ha ha!. We got the platinum as well. We just took her out to our remote property and almost made it being bone stock. I Definitely need the 33's and lift. Have you had any rubbing during hard articulation with the 33's? Also do you know what offset is on your wheels?
@OverlandCommand4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I love the Sequoia. 33 is just right for the tires. I have had no rubbing with a 2" lift. I think the offset was 15. NOt sure - but its on the sites with Fuel wheels.

This is a very capable system. I was on a trip where we had water crossings, mud, and deep sand. We stuck a full-size pick up and two jeeps. I never even had wheel spin. I’m really satisfied with the way their 4 x 4 works.
