No joke, I would love to see a Sonic Boom episode where the challenge is just "write a song normally." Here's my reasoning (please pay attention to me) 1: The Complexity Effect Doing something with a gimmick for a while makes doing a simple task easier. For example, I've been playing drums for years, but now it's a lot harder for me to do a 2+4 drumbeat because I'm so used to doing more complex parts. 2: Education An episode of Sonic Boom going over the songwriting process that you two employ without any restrictions could be an interesting thing to watch, in addition to giving advice to starting songwriters. 3: Meta Novelty Having an episode of a show entirely based around the idea of making a song with a gimmick or handicap, where the gimmick or handicap is that there isn't one is just good self aware comedy. Love you guys, keep up the good work Edit: GUYS, I GET IT, FIRST OF OCTOBER There are still restrictions put on them in FoO. They give themselves 50 minutes per song. I'm talking *ZERO CAVEATS.* No time limit, no direction, no nothing. Just write a song

I can’t use my left hand for real. The past year I’ve been losing a battle with cubical tunnel syndrome (not carpel tunnel). It’s now in my nerve. I can’t play most instruments I used to. Not to mention daily living is very difficult. Financially I’ve struggled more and more. On welfare now. It’s been pretty ruff. But a lot of inner work has occurred, which surely is a good thing. I still write songs playing one handed drum. One handed synth. Looping. It’s very cathartic, as it always has been for me. But setting up gear is hard and dangerous for increasing injury. So performing is a no go now. So I’m working a lot on home studio recording now. I really appreciate this video. Strangely inspiring. Not to mention just fun as all your videos are. Thank you ❤️🙏✨

Man, this song's theme is too close to my experience just a few days ago of calling it quits on a long-time friendship because I was finally ready to end what was so painfully one-sided. She never explicitly voiced her disinterest in the friendship (and still welcomed me to group get-togethers) but I couldn't stand being completely unable to get a positive reaction from her anymore (which hurt extra because of my profoundly unrequited feelings). It was the same thing, though: she didn't want to reject the friendship outright because of our history, so I had to take that step myself. Still a bit raw over it since it's my first intentional friend breakup. I guess I'll give this song a few more listens.
