Hi mate I'm in a wheelchair and haven't been able to go fishing for more than 10yrs. I'm hoping that in the next 6 months I may be able to passbook the house. I live in Woody Point, can you suggest where I can go to catch some whiting and some flathead. I can remember that around dawn and dusk are good times for most fish but that is impossible for me now. I know 6 months is a long way off, but it is less than the last 10 years. I hope you will see this and can give me some help.

G/day Kel, the flats between woody point jetty and the car park near Victoria Avenue is great at high tide. Best 2 moons either side of the new moon or full moon.

Hi Wayne any chance you could do a video on getting the fish on the bite? I think they call it setting the hook? We are getting smashed up at Scarborough carpark every night but not hooking up can't work out what we are doing wrong.. Ange wouldn't put me face in the photos said it would scare the kiddies but that one we got off there and another the next night. All the advice has paid off now short of you actually catching them for me just need that last bit of advice. Thank you cobber Pete 👍🍻. Ps also having the same problems at the reef finding them and getting bites is easy it's landing them🤯🤔

Will put some thought into that type of vid. The type of rod, drag setting and allowing the rod to load up are important aspects

The Redcliffe Peninsula is surrounded by flathead grounds. Great place for fly fishing
