I should throw this out there are also AC adapters that say 70,100 if they have a date code that say before 2004. 12, stay away from it, but if it says 2005. 1 or later, then go for it. Sony recalled PS2 Slim power supplies made between August and December 2004 for being a fire hazard. If you have one of these, check the date on the bottom label, which will tell you the manufacture date. "Adapters considered at-risk and eligible for the recall are printed with the model number "HP-AT048H03" and have one of the following five date stamps: 2004.8, 2004.9, 2004.10, 2004.11, 2004.12"

we don't care about the cosmetics, only care about the quality of the power.

That was the whole point of the video, I was pointing out the obvious the real focus on this was the quality of the power unless you want your AC adapter to overheat and Catch Fire don't come crying to me I'm just letting the people know if they don't want to play risky get a later model number AC adapter

What ac adapter should I keep, I've always used my scph-70100 with 2005 code, but I just bought another ps2 that has a scph-79100 of 2008, which one should I keep for my main ps2?
