I have yet to pass this game. I have restarted this game soooo many times since childhood. But as a kid, I would put so many hours just grinding and getting lost in it before stopping right around Mt gagazette. I know how it ends and what happens throughout. But every time I play, I enjoy it immensely which is what keeps me coming back. It says a lot about a game that can hold my attention so long and I have no problem watching these scenes over and over again. Even as a kid, then teen. I'm playing it rn and I think it's finally time. I'm gonna beat it. And they hit a bit harder now that I'm in my early 30's. It really is an experience.

I never, ever thought that I could cry over a game until I played FFX. I was 25 years old when I was able to bought my own PS2 (13 years ago). Because I loved Fanatasy, I bought that game... and it was INCREDIBLE. The story, de sound, the animations... I was in love with the game. And at the end... I couldn't stop crying. I remembered that when I started to figure Tidus's fate out I was like: no, no, no no no no NO! COME ON! It broke my heart. How I wish this story turned out in a book or a movie so I can treasure it forever.

"The Final Fantasy franchise, what a great franchise it was. FF 10 was one of my first games when I was little. I didn't know how to read because I was too young, but I was playing the game without understanding everything. When I heard the theme song 'Suteki da ne' for the first time and the way the music was used for the cutscenes that everyone knows if you have played the game, it was a magical moment back then when I was young, and even now, when I rewatch it, the feelings are always there, just like the kid I was. At that time, Japanese songs were hard to listen to because there was no KZbin or Spotify 20 years ago. So 'Suteki da ne' was one of my first memories of a Japanese song that I had heard. Now I'm learning Japanese thanks to that game, and FF 10 was the first game in which I enjoyed the movie on KZbin in Japanese (10 hours of story). So much love for this song, this game, and this franchise. Thank you very much Nobuo Uematsu, for creating music that touches the souls of millions of people."

Man, oh man. I was 10 years old when I got to this, on a snowy, lit up December in 2001- My cousin had bought a PS2 and 3 games: Wrath of Cortex, Sons of Liberty, and Final Fantasy X. I was a scrawny little kid from a non-English speaking country, who pieced together what little my brain could just from context, events and associating certain phrases & words, and my really badly-managed Sphere Grid.. But dang, this music made me bawl from how beautiful it was. My father legit thought I had hurt myself while playing. I still remember how he had this small laugh before he gave me a big hug during the violin part and asked me if the "movie" was sad. Heh, he was awestruck when I told him it was a video game. After that, he would sit down and watch me play on occasion, and since he actually could speak an okay amount of English, he would translate stuff I didn't understand in the cutscenes. Shit, I love my childhood.
