For such a small part think they have really gone OTT with the bolts and bracket . I think mine as gone on my partner van . Brilliant video telling people every step and what tools you need awesome. I was going to do it myself but I think I will let garage do it I really couldn't be bothered with the hassle. Like I said good video 👍

Fair play lad great quality video and good explanation. Going to change mine tomorrow now. It was throwing up a load of faults on the display, changed battery but faults came back up and battery died. The alternator was sparking when i checked so it must be that

Yes it's the same engine fitted to many cars including the Ford Focus and fiesta. Peugeot 308 208 207 407. Citroen C3 C4 C5. Volvo S60 S40 V60 etc

That partner dont have A/C compressor, my Peugeot have one and I cant get the below bolt out 😢

I removed the A/C to take all the Alternator support out

I have one of these 2016 Berlingo, after replacing the alternator twice turned out the reason it wouldnt charge was it needed a free update for the ECU from the dealer, free recall.

I’m having this issue on my 207 1.6hdi sport. They’ve made it so damn hard to get to it! All I need to do is replace the clutch in the alternator! So frustrating

Can anyone give advise about undoing the connectors attached to the alternator. I'm struggling with the smaller plastic clip beside the main wire that's bolted on.

I know it's a long time ago but I have just had same issue. There is a little clip that needs to be pushed in before you pull the plug. It's towards the front of the vehicle at the bottom of the plug (furthest from wires). Hope that helps someone in future.
