I have the exact same problem on my insignia. It's been driving me insane trying to figure out what's going on, but after loads of head banging I have come to the conclusion that it's the injectors causing this issue. Did a leak of test and have 2 injectors slightly over fuelling

As another A20DTH owner with these engines if there's even a hairline split in the boost pipe it'll try regen a lot more and one of the most common issues is the DPF/exhaust temp sensor, vauxhall has a software upgrade for these engines as its software related as to why the sensor go way before they should.

I had a ford focus once that was always wanting to regen. In the end I found that the cat had come loose inside. Causing it to drop down over pressure sensor port giving it incorrect readings

If its any help, I've noticed the same thing with the vauxhall pressure readings. The sensors don't seem to pick up low pressure. From the readings you had on your manometer it doesn't look like it's been gutted. Maybe the mile long pressure hose before it gets to the sensor has something to do with it?

Is it worth removing dpf?

Hello, I too am a mobile mechanic although not as well established as yourself, and I currently use an autel ds808 like yours. How do you find the launch in comparison to the ds808? Does it manage the same functions as the autel with regards to injector programming and oars fluid additive resets for example? Thanks - Enjoying your videos - informative and helpful! 👍🏼

So my Autel Was doing great but I came across a few cars Where it couldn't connect so I decided to try a few different scan tools. I like the Launch brand as they do other related tools especially for dpf. One thing to remember is no single tool can do everything so something an Autel can't do but a Launch can and vice versa

@@ORileysAutos yes of corse, I understand - before I left the garage I worked in we had a snap on solus ultra, an autel 906, and some other small scanners. Each had their positives but the autel was the best go to tool for most things we found, although not the fastest. My autel has an issue with PSA group but it’s expensive to have it repaired so I am looking at buying either the newer 808eu or a launch you see and wondered what your opinion was on the launch. Thanks for the reply, might look into the launch a bit more 👍🏼

what do you mean if the dpf has been gutted
@ORileysAutos2 жыл бұрын
Some people will remove the dpf then drill out the internals and refit the empty canister

I find Vauxhall / Opel scan tool readings on my launch very frustrating. I can do complicated things(DPF Regens etc), but simple things like oil resets and findibg LTFT and STFT on my opel impossible..
