He should do a joint operation between the foundation and the U.I.U. For reference the UIU is kind of like the US government's equivalent of the foundation if the people working in it were working with less knowledge, less skill, and less equipment. They usually contact the foundation if a situation or anomaly is beyond their capability, though they have been able to contain a couple anomalys without the foundation's assistance. The people working in the UIU don't have much skill, knowledge, of equipment when it comes to the anomalous, but they are members of government agencies such as investigators and are skilled when it comes to areas outside the anomalous.

Especially as that means the US Government are paying Billions every year to fund both the Foundation and this UIU. Even the Americans aren't that stupid.

@@marcusromulus5646 Well I believe the idea behind the UIU was it was suppose to be a government funded version of the foundation, so the government would have access to everything they found and could control what they would do, the issue is that not many people are allowed knowledge of the anomalous and as such it doesn't actually get that much funding since the people funding it don't even really know what it's suppose to be for, it sort of became a joke because it's sort of the equivalent of a field agent being assigned to do paperwork, no one really wants to be assigned there, but the people who are assigned to work at the UIU are in fact competent government agents, but since the UIU deals with the anomalous, the knowledge the people working there actually have doesn't really apply. For reference the UIU stands for something like The Unusual Incidents Unit, they have actually managed to contain some anomalys but what they usually do is if they encounter something they can't deal with they call the foundation and the foundation takes over from there.

@@Nyghtking It just sounds that the UIU is an unnecessary new faction that doesn't really add to the dynamics of the universe. It seems to me the UIU are just a tool so an Government can gain more power by acquiring SCPs. But if that was true they'd be considered a threat and the Foundation would wipe the UIU out. Plus the divertion of funds from the Foundation would be enough for them to "forcibly" oust Governments. (in lore they've done this many times). The only reason the GOC and Chaos Insurgency still exist is the resource cost is too great for the Foundation to eliminate them without multiple containment breaches happening.

@@marcusromulus5646 Thats the thing though, the UIU when it was created in word was suppose to be the US equivalent of the GRU, like the GOC kind of was at first, but as happens people in the government didn't want to be spending a whole lot of money on something they didn't understand when that money could be being spent on other things, as for why they still exist it's probably because they do manage to get stuff done, as an example, in the introduction to the UIU they demonstrate an item they acquired and tell about how they got it, it's a handgun that typically chambers around 15 rounds, the one they have can chamber over 1000, and they got it from a guy who thought it had a bottomless clip during a gun fight when that guy ran out of ammo, that UIU has also managed to contain some anomalys that even the foundation was unaware of until later, basically if the foundation doesn't feel an object is worth their time they'll usually hand it off to the UIU, sometimes the UIU finds an object first and if they can't handle it they call in the foundation. As for why they were created, it was probably about power but also because the foundation technically doesn't answer to anyone, few people even know they exist and few people outside of groups of interest even have an idea what the foundation has contained, the government didn't like that the foundation could essentially do as it pleased and could govern itself.
