RiMS Racing vs Ride 4 - Suzuka Gameplay Comparison

With RiMS Racing releasing earlier this week, we thought we would take the BMW M 1000 RR 2021 around Suzuka not only in RaceWard’s latest creation, but in Milestone’s Ride 4. Yes, both the motorcycle and the track are in both games.
For reference, footage is captured in 4K on PS5 for both titles, using the native PS5 game versions and Time Trial modes.
This isn’t a full comparison, just gameplay so you can get a taste for each game.

How many of you play car sim in 1st person view but play bike sim in 3ed person view?

Car sim always 1st person. But in bike sims 3rd person is the way to go. On a bike you need to know what your rear is doing in real life you can feel it but in a game you cant so you have to see it to be fast.

I feel sorry for both game developers. They put a lot of effort to make 1st person view. But people still play in 3rd person.

Nice comparison. RIDE 4 shows the elevation changes of the circuit better, RiMS Racing sounds are much better, I have been back to RIDE 4 since playing RiMS & the sound is so underwhelming in comparison.

Rims looks like the bike is floating, not actually touching the ground.

I wish for a game that has the sound of RiMS Racing and the track representation of Ride 4.

Got no complaints about Ride 4 sounds other than of the awful mix in engine sounds. Effects, wind and every other sound are great. But this can be fixed with settings, EQ and/or other audio equipment. Just turning down treble and increasing bass makes Ride sound better than normal. Oh, and it definitely sounds best in the helmet view. Seems like it was made for big ass home theater speakers and loud volume. Engines sound like crap if I use regular PC speakers, but if I turn on giant tower speakers through an amp and set it up; it's great. Really great.

Hello - Iam sad to say the RiMS is way behind R4...The Road Tracks are interesting & challenging. I think RiMS could have been overall better that R4 but Milestone has had years to refine & improve.

What’s easier to ride rims racing or ride 4? As in easier to control the bike?

Rims, I don't think it's possible to make more annoying games than Ride/MotoGP 😆

is it me or rims animations are more fluid then ride 4? specially the rider and overall graphics are mostly the same but still looks I dunno how to put it "crispier"? maybe its just me.

Everytime Rims pushes hard the throttle the tyre spins, or the bike shakes. But none of this happends on Ride, at least since Ride 2. =/ Ride needs to improve it physics on Pro, and let just as they are right now on novice. I was playing Ride 2 yesterday, and really scares to push the throttle that hard on superbikes. Also, the tyrewear has no effect on grip or laptime.
