Best episode so far 😆👏👏 Animation 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 Fun fact: Hinata was pushing herself well beyond human limits and was busting blood vessels in her brain and tearing up her muscles by moving so fast. She was using regeneration magic to immediately heal the damage, but eventually, she would run out of magic. Rimuru's plan to let her tire herself out was a good one, but she was just too fast.

Part 2: *Multilayer Barrier* is an Extra Skill and one of the Intrinsic Skills of Demon Slimes. It's an upgrade from Ranged Barrier that Rimuru acquired when he couldn't create a single barrier with lots of different effects applied to it, but was able to create multiple barriers with one Resistance each. Multiple Ranged Barriers are linked with various resistances to create a Multilayer Barrier. It's a thin, colorless, invisible coating covering the body. It is a barrier consisting of several layers but still so thin that Magic Sense can only barely spot it. It doesn't require much Magic Power to keep going. Once it is summoned, it barely consumes any at all. Even if it gets destroyed, the user can just recreate it instantly. ==== *Magic Sense* is an Extra Skill commonly used by majority of the characters in the series. Acquiring this Skill is rather simple. It allows the user to use Magic Power as an extra sense to perceive the surrounding magicules and see a full 360 degrees around them, without leaving a single blind-spot. By observing the fluctuation of light and sound waves through their interaction with magicules, they can be processed and converted into perceptible data, allowing the user to see and hear their surroundings. With this, one can see in complete darkness as if it were bright as day and can continue fighting even if their eyes and ears were to be crushed. Ambushes become virtually impossible as the user is fully aware of their environment. It is also possible to shift perspectives to allow the user to look at themselves from a third person point of view. It also allows the user to understand the intent of spoken words by deciphering sound waves that have willful meaning stored inside them, even if the language of their conversation partner is unknown to them. It is an indispensable Skill for anyone to have, but continuous use of the ability, even for a short activation, can cause a normal Human brain to fry due to the never-ending flow of data overloading it; thus, the effectiveness of this Skill relies heavily on the user's processing capabilities, with range ranging from hundreds of meters away to a several kilometers radius. Note: This skill is listed here because, while the anime left it out, Shion did use alongside Multilayer Barrier, All-Seeing Eye and Master Chef in order to defeat the Crusaders. ==== *All-Seeing Eye* is an ocular-type Extra Skill that grants the user 360° vision and increased reaction times. It was first wielded by Kyoya Tachibana but is also later acquired by Shion and Gabiru. All-Seeing Eye is capable of providing the user with visual information beyond their eyes regular line of sight. The skill's perspective can freely change in 360° and is described as "similar to a video game screen". The skill directly beams sensory information into the ocular nerve, allowing for an increase in reaction time in critical situations. It's a powerful skill all on its own, but truly shines when combined with other skills such as Magic Sense and Thought Acceleration. ==== *Master Chef* is the Unique Skill that Shion obtained after Rimuru's Harvest Festival. Sub-Skills: -Certain Outcome: A heinous ability that directly alters the laws of the world, similar to an Ultimate Skill. It allows the user to freely change the result of an action or the state of an object into their desired outcome, no matter how improbable. It is possible to permanently alter the status of a living being or object to make an unnatural state their natural state, which makes any form of healing useless. The only way to counter this is to also be able to manipulate the laws of the world such as via Law Manipulation or an Ultimate Skill and then manage to overcome the user's will with their own will. -Optimal Action: Allows the user determine the best course of action in a given situation by allowing them to see through the flow of their movements. It also enables the user to perfectly recreate anything they've done once. For instance, as long as they have scratched an enemy, they can make their attacks always deal damage; or if they've defeated an enemy once, no matter how difficult, they can defeat them again with ease. ==== *Black Flame-Thunder* is an Intrinsic Skill that Rimuru acquired after evolving into a Demon Slime. It's a calculation-type ability similar to the Extra Skill Predictive Calculation, only specialized for this single task and possessing a much higher accuracy as a result. To the user this ability feels like another one of their senses, each possible movement and their trajectory clearly visible to them like streaks of light. Black streaks indicate a more unpredictable movement such as a feint or trap while glowing streaks indicate that the movement is guaranteed to happen. It is not guaranteed to forecast a prediction for every attack, but those that it does forecast in the form of the glowing streaks are guaranteed to happen.

The timeline of events here is hilarious. Shion is brought back and receives her evolution gift in the form of the unique skill Master Chef Shion explains her awful cooking tastes amazing because her skill can produce the flavors she wants Shion "interrogates" King Edmaris and Archbishop Rayheim... with her beloved sword, turning them into impossible lumps of living flesh Shion breaks the Holy Field like it's nothing because it's /just/ some reality tampering barrier, says she's something of a rules tamperer herself The author then pivots to Rimuru vs Hinata to say Hinata's sword also has a bit of a rules bending streak (different from Shion's, but it'd go through defenses) We're just casually warping reality to produce favorable outcomes here, but calling it cooking.

Benimaru and Shion are currently at the level of Demon Lord Seeds, the same tier as Clayman, Carrion, Frey and Roy Valentine. Part 1: Mathematician is a Unique Skill of Hinata Sakaguchi. Sub-Skills: -Analytical Appraisal: Analytical Appraisal releases waves that enter the target of analysis and perform a full scan of their composition, which is then sent back to the user. It also enhances the use of Spirit Magic greatly. *Elemental Spirit Armament* is a special type of armor used by the Ten Great Saints. Why Hinata couldn't usurped Rimuru's skill? Because the power level. Her Usurper is a Unique Skill (which could only usurped another Unique Skill level and below), while Rimuru's Raphael, Beelzebub, Uriel and Veldora are Ultimate Skill. Between Unique and Ultimate Skill that was a whole differrent level..

Raphael told Rimuru that the attack was undefendable and unavoidable, and told him to sacrifice Belzeebub to lessen the impact. He lost Belzeebub as a result. Hinata is surprised that Rimuru took the attack head on instead of trying to dodge. Raphael gets unresponsive and doesn't tell Rimuru what happened and why. Thing is, something weird started to happen, and the seed's been there since the Great Sage days. During the awakening festival, Great Stage wasn't really supposed to evolve into Raphael. It petitioned itself for evolution and targeted itself as one of the people to receive gifts upon Rimuru's evolution, so it could Force itself to evolve into an ultimate. Now that ultimate is even more capable. And it's getting self aware. Doing things that it doesn't tell Rimuru about. Why would it put Rimuru to sacrifice one of his most powerful skills, along with a large chunk of his magicules (~70%) to try and block the attack? A skill with it's own will that doesn't perfectly obey it's user... Hopefully nothing bad happens
