All these new feral races look like a lot of fun. I ran a waster colony play through where we primarily used incendiary/toxic weapons they would’ve been super useful against all these guys. Maybe I’ll do a crashed pirate on savage planet scenario with this mod could be a lot of fun like planet of the apes with a little extra flavor!!

I like that you're branching out now that you've covered a good portion of Vanilla Expanded Content. If we're on the topic of new xenotypes and genes, DetVisor has a host of simple unique yet still vanilla xenotypes like Venators, Boglegs, and the brand new Avaloi. It'd be a treat if you could cover some of them.

I do love this mod, my fav gene set. Det's also has some really good xenotypes, with the Boglegs Blubber mechanic being one of the most interesting genes I've seen mechanically.

Huh, good choice. This was a fascinating one. Not much to say, I never added it because I orefer my genotype pawns to be a little more alien than uwu. Well, unless im doing a fantasy run, in which case, i want fantasy races, not uwu. But i might have to give it a look. My poor load order...

I'm going to be honest The only good thing to come from RJW was the cocoon gene. I can't run the torture mod on my pc for my hiveling playthrough and I'm tired of prison breaks and prisoner fights so to have a gene that get rid that headache is peak.

If you're looking for more mods to cover, maybe consider the rimsenal series? I've been running their vanilla augmented weapons alongside the VE weapons for ages as they kinda sidegrade eachother along with the vanilla weapons

Any plans to ever cover SoS2? It's hard to find good guides for it, specifically around stuff like using the JT drive to move to another save with new mods.

It's already a bit of a mess with 1.4 so god knows what 1.5 and anomaly will do to it. Given that it's a mod that usually requires a lot of additional work to get functional, it lands itself like CE, in that covering it is tricky because of how quickly the information becomes outdated. If there wasn't other stuff to cover that was reliable and more long lasting, I'd do the deep dive, as I'd imagine it'd be a good hour and a half, maybe even 2, to cover something like SoS

Settlers will be done when I go back to covering VE factions, which is on hold until 1.5 and Anomaly are stable/updated. I mentioned Avatar in the video for Portraits of the Rim, covering 1 portrait mod seemed like enough at the time, haha.

I have 2 problems with this mod. The first is that I can’t figure out how to tell my colonists that the carnivorous prisoners should only be given meat. The other one is there’s a bug that makes my colonists think they can milk/shear a colonist even though they can’t, meaning people with animal handling keep running up to them and just standing in place. I can fix the bug by saving and reloading, but every time they get milked/sheared, it comes back. It’s been a while since I used it, so maybe these have been fixed. Also, what’s with the Armello art in the video’s thumbnail?

Thumbnail art always references other media that is somehow related, furry characters for this one. I've not had that bug with Mammalia so not sure if its an interaction from another mod you've got installed? As for managing feeding prisoners, you just need to change their meal preferences in the health tab. You can set specific diets up for prisoners if you really wanted, if they only get to eat paste or simple meals for example.
