Hey I have Ring Video doorbell 2 ...I was so confused with your installation of those additional things inside the bell but I guess its only PRO version of that bell?? so if I don't have a pro all I need to do is connect 2 wires from the old doorbell at the door and that's it??

Goobeek hey there! So the Pro is skinnier and only wired (no battery option). If you have the Doorbell 2 then I believe you can attach to your house whenever you want and run it off the battery without hardwiring it into your existing doorbell at all. However, I just looked it up and I guess it does say that Doorbell 2 has the ability to be hardwired in as well so that’s cool. So yes, for me I just connected the included wires with the Ring to the two wires of the existing doorbell and that was it! (Of course don’t forget the breaker if you choose that option)

@@TysonMooreBuilds yes I know it can be installed without hardwiring but I heard batteries are very weak especially in cold weather and this is from official RIng website: The following are key temperatures to watch out for in regards to your batteries. 36°F (3°C): The battery may not hold a charge as effectively, resulting in you having to charge the unit more frequently. 32°F (0°C): The battery may not charge at all. Even hardwired configurations may not charge the battery. -5°F (-20.5°C): The battery may stop working completely until temperatures warm up. So as you can see if you are not living in Key West Florida😆 and you have regular winter every year then running it only on batteries is not a good idea, and even hardwired it doesn't look good.

Mine won't connect. Would not recommend. I'm a 20 years old and never had a hard time with electronics. Connecting the chime pro to the door bell is such a bitch. Can't find a proper vid anywhere. Don't spend 450$ on the bullshit just to be frustrated
