I'm only here because Markella is gorgeous. There is no such thing as a black dwarf, black elf, or black Hobbit in LotR. Tolkien was a white Englishman and wanted to create a mythology for his white English fellow folk. And, at the time, there was nothing wrong with that. Now, that has been sullied, ruined by those who have been driven to diversify something that just shouldn't have been touched. And Galadriel is not a bad-ass warrior bitch who hates everyone. This show is an utter disaster and I hope it doesn't last past season one. If you want to create a high fantasy world where there are white, black, and Asian people (the altogether most boring collection of hominids imaginable) then fine, do that. Make one up. But don't take something as precious as LotR and fuck it up because you're too stupid and lazy to create something from scratch.
