Upon the release of episodes 1 & 2 of Rings of Power, critics all over agreed that while the opening to the series was fine, the second episode represented an immense improvement over the first and moved things in the right direction. Were they right? Let's examine those claims and the episode itself.

As I said under the previous video, watching these videos that are longer than the actual episodes, ripping the atrocity apart a line, a costume, a VFX shot, a musical score at a time is more than worth my time. You are 💯! It’s because this channel doesn’t get the same “Liberal Privilege” from YT as the channels promoting the DIE…er, silly me….DEI Agenda. This is not a theory. It has been proven that YT’s algorithms have been purposefully gerrymandered to demonetize and otherwise hurt those channels that don’t “toe the line” of a particular ideology. Thus, this channel’s visibility and views have been negatively impacted for pointing out to the viewers just how ridiculously absurd the DEI Agenda is carried on full display in Rings of Power and goes against the creative genius of Tolkien’s great works of literature. Sorry, I know that was a mouthful and probably should have been broken into two separate sentences. However, I will never claim to possess the writing skills of Tolkien. In fact, my bar is set fairly low; low to the level that of the ROP writing team. This way, I can always feel confident that I can at least achieve that level, and probably even better for myself! 😜 There is NO WAY the great content provided in these videos do not have a considerable amount of views more than what is calculated here without the aforementioned gerrymandering. Unfortunately, we continue to see this occurring all the time on YT (and other social media platforms), effectively abandoning half the population. 😢

I remember watching this show, hoping with all my heart that they weren't actually going to be so blatantly obvious. "Please let Halbrand be the Witch King, please let the magic man be a blue wizard" was the chant of my soul until it was clear that it wouldn't be so. Anger and disappointment followed, especially when the entire making of the rings (including Sauron's "influence" on the process), why they were made, and what they looked like was reduced to barely an episode. It was so incredibly stupid, reductive, and insulting. Is the show even going to send Sauron back to Numenor to accomplish any part of his story there? For shame. I wish arthritis upon the hands of the writers of this travesty.

I was hoping beyond all hope the same things!! Instead, the audience was treated like imbeciles. It’s as if the ROP writers whipped out their collective pee-pees and pissed all over Tolkien’s grave. OME (Oh my Eru) I was impressed and entertained with the writing and presentation of these videos MUCH more than the ridiculously sophomoric attempt of the ROP travesty! I think the great JRR Tolkien himself would have rather enjoyed a few chuckles while watching your videos in defense of his literary genius. I envision Professor Tolkien exclaiming, “Ha! Well done, lad! Jolly good!” as he takes a couple puffs of his Old Toby from beyond the Grey Havens. 😁

Are you sure its "worm" and not *_Wyrm._* Wyrm is a particular breed of dragons, if memory serves, its completely lacking legs and wings making it appear as a monsterously large snake. As far as I know theyre not aquatic tho. Those would be Amphitheres and they have wings. There is also the Lindblumwurm that might have been mistaken for the name. Anyway, I dont think its "worm" and I dont think the writers called it that out of lack of imagination. Rather, as they constantly do, tried to do something correct but wete to lazy and/or stupid to do proper research.

35:20 I can tell you right now that youre wrong. Im a human and still alive and I can tell you right now that the last 10 years of my life has felt like 6 months. The older you get, the faster time fly. This is not just a saying, this is *actually* how it feels. It feels like it was fakking yesterday I lived my life in perfect harmony in a small coast town with my friends and family all around me, that was 15 years ago and I have no hell time went. To believe you will experience 20 years like 20 years regardless if you 15 or 45 is naive at best. Trust me on this, its not the same. Im gonna take a wild guess that youre in you early 20, at the very least not past 30. In this ages you are blissfully ignorant. Somewhere in your mid to late thirties is where you start feeling it and every year past that point will juat make it even more obvious.

I’m in my sixties. Time does, indeed seem to fly by as we get older, but I think you missed his point. While time seems to fly by, anyone with any sense of time knows the difference in 20 years and half an hour. I will also point out that roads run in both directions. So Durin’s anger doesn’t seem at all justified. He could just as easily visited Elrond as vice versa. Did Elrond even get an invitation to Durin’s wedding. If he did, and ignored it, that should be the issue, not time. If he didn’t, how was he supposed to show up for it? There is no context, so I don’t see how it even matters how either perceives time. It’s just a stupid thing thrown in by the writers to give these characters something to say.
