I loved this , to think I just finished a rewatch of S1 (and secretly enjoyed it this time apart from the Harfoot bollocks), this was the icing on the cake needed to dive into S2. This weekend and then the episode breakdowns here and R&R will follow.

Rings of power is a missed opportunity. Sauron was supposed to be a pseudo Promethean figure generating religious engineering in Harad and Rhûn with the metallurgical revolution he made in the east and south. Galadriel was supposed to be a sage and a political opponent of Annatar's reformist ideas. She used arguments and debates to fight Sauron and the forges of the rings. Númenor is a moral and theological story about life vs death vs immortality vs human nature.

Not sure how you read that script so fast without having a tank of oxygen feeding into one nostril. Kudos on one of best recaps I’ve ever seen, but also one that truly covered so much in such a short period of time. The jokes were on point and far from cheesy (not easy to do). Interestingly, I almost didn’t watch thinking it would be a pretty straight up blah recounting of episode content in an non-comprehensive way (kudos number two). Kudos number three this channel is literally the only one I watch every week, and wow (time flies) it appears for several years now. Keep up the good work and nerding us all out in a very entertaining, well researched and professional KZbiny way.

Been rewatching the first season. Honestly, after watching the Acolyte, Rings of Power is great! Your recap reminded me about a lot of things that I liked about the show. The bad parts don't seem as jading anymore.
