Such a great job doing the show. Fire down under to me is still to this day one of the best hard rock/metal albums ever. Such a tragedy Saw them live on the balck and blue tour. They tor it up For a brief period they were one of the best bands out there.

I saw Riot on the Thunder Steel tour. It was in Deep Ellum, near downtown Dallas, and the club was possibly "The Basement" or some other very small bar venue. Well, I was there with another couple and I swear the four of us were the only ones there. I would glance back to the bar and there might've been one person there. My group backed off from the stage. I stayed up front and listened to Riot by myself with Mark's guitar blazing. And it was LOUD!!! Riot all to myself - I won't forget.

ABSOLUTELY!!!! Their music is some of the greatest that I have ever listened to. I love their Hard Rock era, but I love their Power Metal era way more, especially the Thundersteel album. It is easily one of the greatest albums I have ever listened to. It is a MASTERPIECE!!! Riot should be a huge band headlining arenas and stadiums all over the world. They are that amazing to me.

The whole band was extremely intense during both the Thundersteel and The Power Of Privilege tours. I love every lead singer that has been in Riot, but Tony Moore is my favorite. Todd Michael Hall is doing a fantastic job being the lead singer for Riot V, but in my opinion Tony Moore's singing was way stronger than Todd's singing. It is so amazing how extremely well Tony Moore sang live when he was the lead singer for Riot. One of the greatest lead singers ever in my opinion.

My first Riot album was Fire Down Under. Holy smoke. Thundersteel was equally impressive. Now I have to say, with Todd M Hall, they have a singer to do it all. Impressive, what Riot V are doing.

Great documentary series.. Superb groundbreaking band and criminally underrated. At their best in my mind when fronted by Guy Speranza. 3 seminal albums of that incarnation and 'Fire Down Under' up there amongst the finest metal albums of all time. These boys deserve much more recognition and hope this documentary goes some way in getting them more acknowledgement and introduced to new fans.

The approximate Velvet Underground quote can be applied to Riot. "100 people bought the record, but those 100 started 1,000 bands". Really, I've been a life long rock musician and a huge part of my inspiration was listening to Riot albums as a 15 year old in Billings fucking Montana. They really had a niche between the Zep/Aerosmith world and the coming hair/trash metal world that just filled a gap that I still love.
@steve.hoffman Жыл бұрын
Been listening since the early 80’s. Really loved Rhett’s voice. Bobby Jarzombek is one of my favorite drummers, and Halford called him the best metal drummer of all time. He also turned down the Dream Theater audition. Mark Edwards was an earlier influence with the Steeler and 3rd Stage Alert albums. I even had his EP. He is apparently going by Mark E. Schwarz and is now the Chairman of Wilhelmina Models. Wild!

Riot is one band that I really wish I gave a listen to 30 years ago. A few months ago is when I finally did give them a listen. I took a chance and ordered Riot V Live In Japan 2018 , and loved it, especially the Thundersteel songs. I have loved Power Metal for many years, so I immediately loved every song from the Thundersteel album big time on my first listen. I have already ordered the 30th anniversary edition of Thundersteel, and I plan on getting all of their albums from their Power Metal era and the older Hard Rock era. I love both styles big time.
