Saw them some years ago in a small club in Antwerp Belgium.Normally hardcore , punk and stoner rock band would play there. but the owner was a Riot fan so he booked them anyway. 20 people showed up. My introduction to Riot ,was on the Monsters Of Rock compilation LP ( Road Racin' ) . Fire Down Under remains i.m.o.one of the best HM records EVER made.

@@ozrics62 I set off on a coach from Manchester with 2 mates, we arrived in the early hours, to see thousands of rockers camping outside Donnington, some just lieing on the ground rolled up in sleeping bags, we had to wait until they opened the gates, about 9am if I remember....at which point we legged it down to the stage... hell is beautiful

Just got the cd of this show put out by metal blade records the sound is so beefy and monstrous The lead guitar tone in the solos sounds very close to when dave mustaine was shreddin in early metallica

$aw them 4 times, twice with Guy and twice with Rhette, all three times they were the opening band and blew the headliners off the stage excerpt for when i saw them with Rush in 81' and Ozzy in 82' with Randy, need i say more, both bands just ripped, one of my top 3 concerts of all time and I've been to hundreds, and i have been playing in bands for 30+yrs also and it still ranks in the top 3 🎸🤘🖤💀

Allá por el 80 tenía un vinilo llamado Metal Explosion, Salían Praying Mantis, More, Guillan, More , Trespass, Angelwitch, Tigers of Pang Tang...etc. y Riot con el I love to Rock. googlea y lo encontrarás. Saludos.
