Thanks for posting this! Greg was a friend of mine (I'm a Stick player), and this loss is just hitting me harder than it should. It's pretty awesome to see this interview, and get a new perspective on DMB.

I'm so sorry for the loss of this man I was never aware of, yet at the same time, blessed to hear him tell the history of working and playing with all the great folks that made up that magical scene. Thank you, Copper, for the many years of your sharing devotions. 🙏

This is great! Thanks for sharing. As a guy who played music and was about 21 at the time this was happening...it brings back so many memories of the scene where I loved in RVA as well as visiting friends at UVA and catching them at places around. Was a great time for music! 🤘🏻

This really brings back some great memories. I was right around the same age (19-21). I saw them at UVA, Nantucket & So many smaller venues like that. I still see them, often. I’m very fortunate to live in an area where they still play a lot. This Band is Truly Magical in SO many ways. Thank You for Sharing this. ❤ Also, what a beautiful complement. He hits the nail on the head! Dave loves what he does and the people around him. He’s not full of himself. It’s exactly why what Him & The Band Do is always so amazing. My Son, who is almost 21, brought me to a show last year. He was so amazed at not only the off the charts talent(s) within the entire band BUT also how kind, happy, and loving 99.9% of the crowd was. I Loved watching him see them live for the first time! This Mama may have cried a few tears, multiple times, during the show. ❤

To say there were “a million musicians who’d want to have Carter as their drummer,” is a modest understatement.
