Anthony was equally comfortable playing light comedy , to sinister , menacing parts , but he always played them with style . He was a favourite of mine , and I'm sure he is missed by many .

Just watched him in a Hammer House of Horror episode and decided to google him. Shocked to see he passed only days ago. He was great in Colditz, very menacing! RIP Anthony.

My condolences to the lovely Sue Skipper, his wife of 30 years. Wonderful actor with great voice on audio and tv Docs. Etc. Brilliant Raffles and his many other roles. We loved him in the UK. THANKS

One of my favourite actors. For a long time I only knew him for his turn as the Baron de Belleme in Robin of Sherwood but have now caught up with him in many other things, such as of course Callan. RIP to a class act.

No mention of him appearing in a couple of JB Priestley's time plays in the early 1980s alongside Herbert Lom. I remember it being on TV. Really fascinating plays and well acted.

I loved this actor, one of the best actors for 007 but I dont know why he didn’t get a chance. If you havn‘t see his work watch Callan or Raffles where he was simply genial! So many if these fine top British actors have gone now.😪
