Pretty sure its a centrifugal supercharger. So you won't hear the roots style whine. But off throttle you get a huge whoosh sound. honestly, these are the best of both worlds instant power while being able to push more than 12 psi like a roots style would.

supercharger kits for VQ's are usually centrifugal superchargers (like procharger's and vortech's) look almost identical to turbo's but are belt driven rather than exhaust, thus giving it a "whooshing" sound rather than the whine from a corkscrew blower!
