Gluhwein from a Christmas market hits different. It's nice and warm, and you want to drink it while it's still warm so you basically end up chugging it before the winter weather cools it down. I could probably drink two servings of the thing before I start falling apart, and I'm more than double the weight of a typical idol.

The first thing that happens to every foreing visitor of a german/austrian christmas market. They underestimate Glühwein and how fast it makes you drunk. Btw the reason you get drunk so fast is because its served hot. the increased blood circulation caused by that is transporting the alcohol faster into your blood and makes you drunk faster than normal alcohol.

Well as a German it is safe to say that, when you never had Glühwein (hot wine) or Glühwein mit Schuss (hot wine with punch) or Feuerzangenbowle (idk the english translation) at a christmas market, then your first experience will be very funny and you get drunk in no time. But you can get used to it over time xD
