The Albatross was a advanced aircraft in its day introduced in 1916 it was far better than the British DH pushers which they held on to far to long , and were targets for the Albatross . Until the 1917 introduction of the Sopwith Camel and the SE 5 the Brits did not have a competitive fighter . The French Neiuports Mark 7 and up were better and the SPAD V13 was better still . Them the Fokker D 7 came along and defined a top notch WW1 fighter .

Nice vid thx for posting. I'm old school and recently revisited combat flight sims bc the games are so much better these days but damn I see these VR vids and I'm green with envy. Sick of having to pause the game to look around for the enemy.

Actually it´s not flown with VR I made myself 3 point head tracking system using OpenTrack software and LED diodes. It works pretty good as you can see and it´s free 🙂

Hi...great little sortie to watch. Really enjoyed it. You know, I had no idea there was still multiplayer being done with RoF. I fly RoF solo careers a lot but have never bothered looking on the servers given how old the sim is...I just buzz around on FC servers from time to time. Be very interested in getting involved if there's actually people about to get involved with. Anyway, great vid and look forward to seeing more. Have liked and subscribed. Cheers.

Yeah there was a time when it was really bad in terms of multiplayer sorties but since No.10/J18 squadrons started their saturday missions by Ace Ivo you can be pretty sure that every saturday at 20:00 CET there will be enough people up! Its not restricted to squadron members only so feel free to join up! It´s pretty dead by now. Most of RoF pilots swiched to Flying Circus for multiple reasons (bigger virtual pilot base, much better stability of the servers, better graphics etc. etc.) 🙂

why don't remove the scope if you don't use it?

I didn´t fly D.III for a while and my last field modification settings were with Aldis scope because back then I was not using OpenTrack and was actually using scope. So only reason is that this was actually first flight with track system. It could be usefull in certain situations tho so I will probably leave it there as it does not bother me during the flight.
