Originally aired on July 17, 2020, "The Clothes Don't Make the Turtle" is an iconic episode of Rise of the TMNT that heavily features fun, artistic animation. A group of over 160 animators came together in commemoration of the paused show to reanimate the entire episode scene-by-scene as a massive love letter to the incredible crew who worked on it.
This video is a fan project and is in no way affiliated with the brand Nickelodeon and was not produced with the intention of monetary profit. All rights belong to Nickelodeon, including all associated characters and the episode.

Ah!! I forgot to comment 😙 Modding this project with Charzz, Plagued and Meghan Auer was a tremendous experience and we are all proud of every single artist on the team. Everyone worked hard and it’s paid off!! My parts 0:24 - animated 0:58 - helped cleanup and color 2:04 - helped cleanup, color, and background 2:55 - quickie animation 3:01 - animated (had to subtly add long neck Donnie) 3:16 - color Raph, Donnie, Mikey and composited 3:21 - frantically animated 4:51 - animated 6:31 - a MOD collaboration shot 7:08 - animated 8:06 - animated the bb tots 9:04 - cleanup 9:13 - animated poor bb Donnie Again. Couldn’t have asked for a better team. Everyone’s take is fantastic!!
