I'm the same age as Dr. Fraser, a single Canadian, college educated woman, retired, comfortable, but not comfortable enough to own my little house AND a car. For the past year I have been mumbling along saying I got to find something to sell to make some more money to buy a car, to keep it up, gassed it up so I can go out there and make myself useful again--and along comes this Empower Series. Thank you so much. I am full of ideas. I have watched the Civil Rights movement from afar all my life and in my mind I marched and cried along with you all the way as have so many other Canadians make no mistake. Denzel Washington is my vision of Black beauty and grace, Obama a symbol of intelligence and grace under fire and Angela Maya my hero--grace, intelligence and soul-since I was a child and someone gave me her Caged Bird Sings book. And I told myself, if she can make it out of the ditch, so can I, since I only had half the road blocks she did. There is no thing stronger and more beautiful than a black woman on the move. Also, I’m white. White as the snow I live in half the year. A Black Lives Matters pundits said recently on TV, if you white people want to help, find a black friend to educate you to our cause. I have only known one black person--a work colleague. I’m ready and waiting for the next one….

@jmac3482 These are the people that Oshea Jackson (Ice-cube) got to help him with the plan for Black people but many of us rejected him. I remember many Black talk shows, radio shows, politicians, actors/actresses talked trash about him.

Thank you. I wish to share with you an experience. My mom left us with 2 houses when she passed. The family members wanted to sell everything. But I didn't want to sell. I was working two jobs and decided find out how much equity each house was and to pay them the value of the property which was 40,000 dollars and to keep the family home. This was in 2000. To my surprise in 2007 the value rose to 250,000.My mother's other was 50,000 , but they sold that one. In 2007 that one gained value of 250,000 also. Just think if they would have let me keep it we could close to 1/2 million in assets. When I got my second home it from 100,000 it tripled to 300,000 in 2007. Then came the crash and we lost the values. We lost our jobs. But we didn't give up. We rented both houses out and moved to a small 1bed/1bath apartment. Things are better now Thank God. I agreed with you absolutely. Get into property,houses,lots and businesses is the way to go.

I hope you are sharing it as much as you can. You are right. If we can by any means necessary, keep property. We had family drama and we sold our parents home in Los Angeles. Need I say more. If we had kept it, we would be in a different place now. Thank you for watching and please feel free to share with others who may benefit. Thanks again for sharing your story.

I couldn't agree more! Dr. Anderson's message about demanding 'quid pro quo' is crucial. We need to hold institutions accountable and ensure they're reinvesting in the communities they profit from. This means supporting businesses that hire locally, donate to community initiatives, and advocate for policies that benefit everyone.

LRE
@EMPOWERSERIESАй бұрын
Hi @ArthurDuke-q2d, thanks for your comment from five months ago - "LRE." It's possible "LRE" refers to several things depending on the context. Without more information from the program, it's difficult to be certain. It could be an acronym related to business, finance, or personal development, which are common themes in Dr. Fraser's work. It might also be a local reference or inside joke. LRE also stands for Least Restrictive Environment, and it's a federal requirement that students with disabilities be educated with their non-disabled peers to the greatest extent possible. To help us understand your question better, could you elaborate on what part of the program you were thinking about when you commented "LRE"? Reflecting on Dr. Fraser's overall message of "Rise or Die," what key takeaway has stuck with you? As we look towards thriving in 2025, we're excited to have recently surpassed 10,000 subscribers and are expanding our reach with weekly podcasts released every Monday and a global KZbin audience. We’re also thrilled to be participating in the KZbin Giving Program next year. What are some of the actions you're focusing on as we all strive to thrive in 2025? Build cars by Blacks for everybody. (Non of the car dealerships do much!) Blacks everywhere have skin color and kinky hair psychoses...which they also fund and support. Everybody else in America is doing making America work for them. What you read is as important as knowing how to read.
@EMPOWERSERIES29 күн бұрын
@chingychangy2257 Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We appreciate your ideas about Black-owned businesses and understand the frustration many people feel with the car dealership experience. However, we want to address the statement about "skin color and kinky hair psychoses." Such generalizations are harmful and perpetuate negative stereotypes. It's important to recognize the diversity within the Black community and avoid making sweeping statements that can be hurtful and divisive. We believe in empowering all communities and creating opportunities for everyone to succeed. As you rightly pointed out, "What you read is as important as knowing how to read." Critical thinking and access to accurate information are essential for progress. If you're interested in learning more about overcoming systemic barriers and building economic empowerment for all, we encourage you to explore resources from organizations dedicated to social and economic justice. If you found this discussion valuable, please give the video a thumbs up, share it with others, and subscribe for more content focused on empowerment and positive change.

@ greetings “BORN TODAY OF THE LESSONS OF YESTERDAY.” What I’m I going do? Well only, be on one of my blessed African -rites of passages- to the motherland along the shores of the mighty majestic Zambezi River❤️🦾🐈⬛ Because, there isn’t happening in America that wasn’t destined to happen and by the looks of things sooner than later as January approaches soon 🔜 👍 Now, let’s talk about family in 🇺🇸because I wholeheartedly agree👍 However, as an example if we are aren’t doing like dem MORMONS & others.. btw something which Dr Claud Anderson❤️ has touched on.. we doomed. Even things my chief mentor Dr Henrik Clarke rim❤️spoke on and others but who listened 🤔 We doomed . Blk 🦾🐈⬛families in 🇺🇸(TULSA🤫🤐) Mother Fletcher ❤️🇺🇸🔥em down. Blk 🦾🐈⬛families would upset the WS power structure. Thus at every juncture they have either disrupted progress or put something in the communities to keep things off balance 👍 Thus, that’s exactly why esp over the past 20-40 yrs, it’s been pushing their gender narrative twd the blk communities 👍 over the past 10+ targeting kids 👍 Google California AB1955 G newsom Willie brown Outta be ashamed of himself facts 30+ ya and than some and did J s absolutely nothing for blk flk LET ME BE CLEAR ABOUT THAT -now does that rhetorical line sound familiar to you it should d e v i. Harris 🤫🤐 connect the dots 👍 Moreover, even more disturbing is the fact that they’ve been able to do this with the help of a lot of so called blk leaders-the church ones.-it gets darker here.for devilish specific reason 👍 As, those behind -it cleverly chose the Democratic Party to be their primary party to promote it to blk flk… because of its connection to blk people. Facts ALL BY DESIGN FACTS As a result a lot of our ppl have giving themselves over to their hedonistic desires. Those who haven’t, just by virtue of being in 🇺🇸you & your kids have to directly or indirectly comply their laws or face their wrath. Ask PETER VLAMING OF VIRGINIA 🤐👍 Now, I just have had enough 👍 This totally unacceptable and I’m on a mission to stop em. 400 yrs of injustices to only get more pronouns and gender classifications nope 👎 Because, if it is allowed to continue -well there goes the institution of marriage. Really, I’m not saying anything new 🆕 but I’m concerned about how it relates to my ppl. 👍 See because they don’t even believe in their own bible-but the euro mensa scientific studies are out there to prove this that what happens. But, I don’t need a degree in Ebonics or be one their rocket 🚀 scientists or POLYMATH.. to see the negative impact this agenda has and will continue have on many of our ppl undermining efforts to revitalize these communities 👍 Why has it that this agenda has gained more rights HI HI JACKED TIITLE IIX and made advances, . that it took 🇺🇸centuries to give to blk flk MAKE IT MAKE SENSE DEEPER 🔥who was and continues to be their no 1 go to guy -who never was like us 🤐 The illustrious b h Ob ama See, because after doing extensive research and consulting with ancestors for guidance as I always do. Butt, well let me see what else did the jive turkey do for em. Oh after he had tricked enough blk 🇺🇸 & indoctrinated more into their C, as they schooled him to do.. They upgraded his mission by sending him well the other side of him -to AFRICA -to do the same.
